With the £12m capture of Arjen Robben, do you think Cole is on his way ? If not, who do think will leave The Bridge during the summer ?
Deano.

Cole or Gronkjaer, and definitely selling Zenden (the Zola of Teeside) to Middlesborough.
As the season winds down, I expect you will see more Chelsea players making decisions on whether they want to stay and fight for a first team position or go somewhere less ambitious, where their ego will be guaranteed first team football.
Others on the bubble: JFH, Bogarde (gone), Babayaro, Melchiot, Stanic, Petit, Carlton Cole (another loan year at Charlton), Sullivan (almost guaranteed gone with the signing of Cech), Forssell (if Birmingham can come up with any money at all, he will be a steal for them) and the Russian at Portsmouth.
It will be interesting to see what happens with some of the promising talent in the youth team. Leon Knight was a steal for Brighton and I expect other clubs will start picking up Chelsea cast offs on the cheap.

If Cole has any ambition he will leave Chelsea this summer. Absolutely! His tremendous talent is being wasted at Chelsea. I don't think the manager is a fan of his game, so he'll need to go to a club where he'll definitely be an integral part of the team.

Joe Cole is a talent who can't find an outlet. Alex Ferguson, Sven and Ranieri all rate him, that's good enough for me.

I think you've hit it square on the head there - the problem is that he isn't going to fit in at Chels as a regular starter.
He is talented, but wasted, at Chelsea.

When he signed I never for a moment thought he'd ever be a first XI player at Chelsea, some flashy cameos but not much more than that. This won't change over the next year.
He'd be perfect as the playmaker at somewhere like Charlton. A decent team of hardworkers, with Joe in a free role. Shame they couldn't work out a swap deal, or an extended loan like the other Cole.

His biggest failing - perhaps Ranieris as well for that matter - is trying to make him play the left side of that poxy diamond formation.
He continually turns into the middle all the time and stifles any momentum by cluttering it up.Multiple off-sides result as the forward moving players then are caught out too far up the field - or everybody has to stop!
I would wager a sizeable amount of money that he will be loaned out this summer.

You would think that West Ham is a place where he might stand out. But then they got relegated and Chelsea overpaid. Joe Cole - rare talent but misunderstood. :D

I've been saying he's going to be loaned out even before you were :p
To be fair, I never wanted him purchased anyway - he needs to run the team in the middle, and we were never going to give him that option. I think a one year loan to a club like Charlton would do wonders for him. It should, at least, since if he can't hack it there, he'll never hack it at Chelsea.

Don't know about the addicks.
I would say though that a team like M City and "Keegan ball" would ideally suit somebody like Cole.

Perhaps, although my only fear is that they may already have too many players who like the ball at their feet too much. Either way, he needs to gain experience, and that may come elsewhere.
Hey - if we send him to Eindhoven, he can play in the CL too! ;)

Chelsea need to dump Joe Cole and sign Okocha.
They need to keep Carlton Cole and Forsell. If i never see jimmy Floyds complaining again it won't be too soon for me.
Why Charlton doesn't play Cole more is beyond me,a guy that size with his skills is scary. He made Ashley Cole look silly the other day and not many do that.If Chelsea shop him they are Nut's.Keep Jesper,i just love that guy's pace on the wing he's an asset Chelsea can't afford to let go.The speed he has is what will help breakdown a team over the coarse of a game.Keep Forsell for this reason.Having a "no name" striker on the bench will keep the "name "strikers on their toes and i feel when given the chance Forsell will give 120% to prove he is worthy of a starting place.
If Geremi isn't hurt he needs to start every game,he's the only guy in the midfield who scares the defences.Lampard
is good against the average teams and Cole is too irratic,Geremi is just better.
If i had my wish Chelsea would sign Okocha.I my oppinion he is what Chelsea miss the most. His all around game is just head and sholders above anyone Chelsea has right now,buy that i mean his passing ability, footskills, shooting, vision and creativity. He's just an hard player to read if he can stay consistent he is the one man to sew all that talent Chelsea has in the back and up front.
If the sell Babayaro that will live to regret it.Is someone really going to try and tell me that Wayne Bridge is better than him?No way in the world.Celestine's striking ability is far superior and he should be playing more and it's criminal that he isn't.I think the first game he played this season he scored.Chelsea alomsot got the team to win everything but they don't have the mind to run it.One player comes in Okocha and one player goes out Joe Cole.
Carlton Cole and Forsell need to stay if i had to choose one though i grudgingly say Cole because of his strength and speed.

You should not mention Babayaro in the same sentence with Bridge. Celestine is one of the slowest backs' you'll see in the league, that's why he is exposed so much. Jay-Jay is looking to any club that will give him a last big payday, which Chelsea can surely do. Yes, he is a special talent, but he falls in the same category of a Joe Cole and the manager has shown his lack of tolerance for " tricksters".
