I'm planning to be there for that date. Anybody have suggestions on watching the game in ES (where to buy tickets, where to sit, getting to the stadium...etc)
I also want to go to watch the game in Honduras. Man that would be one sweet trip.

You guys better win, take advantage that mexico is down and suck playing away. With a new coach coming in short notice , they should be disorganized ... So kick em while they are down.............. Remember Spain 82

Okay this is just a re-post of info i gave people who were going to the US game. All the important info should be the same. If there is anything else you wanna know just post it or PM me.
Okay firstly, the match will be at Estadio Cuscatlán. There is no doubt about that. Secondly, if your staying at the Sheraton Presidente, then yes you're relativley close to the stadium. It's probabaly a 5-10 minute drive at the most, depending on the traffic. If you wanna walk it, it'll probabaly be more like 30-40.
As for the atmosphere, well it gets pretty hectic on matchday and the days leading up to it. On matchday people will be partying and drinking. Although, the drinking will be done during or after the game, as security won't allow alcohol or anyone that's already under the influense into the stadium. On matchday, streets will be blocked off and there will be a lot of security to make sure everything goes as it should. There will always be a lot of people outside the stadium, on that day, as many will buy there tickets at the last minute, or get there just before kickoff.
In regards to the prices, well they wont be released until sometime next week. But to give you a rough idea, this is what the prices were like for the game v Trinidad:
Sol General - $ 5.00
Sol Preferente - $10.00
Sombra - $15.00
Tribuna - $30.00
Platea - $45.00
Prices for the US game, and all games from here on out will be lower though, due to public demand.
Some advice would be to not walk to or from the stadium. Especially, if you plan on wearing a US top or taking a US flag (which i wouldn't recommend). What you should do, is just ask the hotel to call you a cab, and get there that way. On the way out, again, you should look for the nearest cab and get back to your hotel like that.
And as for where you sit, well i'd highly recommend you sit in Platea or Tribuna. Platea is were most of the visiting supporters will be, and even though they tickets there are more expensive, it'll be worth it as you wont have the problems of dealing with any rowdy fans in your area. Also, if you don't plan on driving there yourself, or joining another group of foreigners, then i would recommend you wear something that doesn't affiliate you with the US. If you were driving there, or with other people then i would say just wear whatever you wanted. But if you're thinking of going alone, and possibly walking there, then again, i'd recommend you not wear any US gear.
Where would I go to buy tickets for a Qualifier match in Cuscatlan? Do I call them (Does Cuscatlan have a Phone # or ticket box etc?) Are they available online? I'd appreciate your response thanks.
Hi,
Well normally 90% of the fans just buy there tickets at the stadium. Tickets usually go on sale 7-10 days before the event, and they can be purchused at anytime from the ticket box at the stadium. You can also just wait for the day of the game and buy it then. Some of the games might be soldout, but if you get there early (1 hour before the game) then you should be fine to get tickets. Everyone usually buys theirs at the last minute, so if you get there early like i said, then you shouldn't have a problem.
You can also get them from FESFUT directly. Just go to their building, and go to the front desk and they'll help you out. If you want to know the address, let me know.
Sometimes, they are also avaliable at Digicel shops. But that's not for every game, so i wouldn't really rely on them.
As for getting them online or over the phone, well i really doubt that's a possiblity. Personally, i've never tried to get them that way or know of anyone who has. But again, i really doubt that you could do that. I could find out for you though, if your interested.
So like i said, just buy them at the stadium, that's what mostly everyone does. If you really want to make sure you get the seats you want, then buy them in advance and don't wait for the day. But if you don't care, then just get them at the game and you should be fine. Although if you do that then you'll most likely end up sitting in the expensive seats (Platea or Tribuna) cause everything else will sellout quick, especially Sol.
Hope that helps.
So what game are you gonna go see?
Thanks
OK Thank you very much for the info, I really appreciate it. It's gonna be special, I've always wanted to see a live game in Cuscatlan and now that I can, I'm really making the effort to go (Especially since I don't know when ES will be back in the Hex Round)....Well I'm definitely going to see the Mexico game and might go see USA. Also if I can, I'll be going to the Honduras game in HON. (Since it's basically right after Mexico)
Again I really thank you for your advice.

Luis Anaya should be back by then. Also El Salvador will not make the same mistake they did with USA. Wait in their side of the field to defend in the last 20 minutes. El Salvador should think of it this way.... Mexico is not going to show mercy in El Azteca so they shouldn't either in El Cuzca.

1. Listen to EC. That info helped me tremendously. (Although next time I go (Don't know I will be going to ES-MEX yet) I will be going to Sol General, those dudes have way more fun than any other section)
2. Get to that stadium EARLY (I got to the stadium about 4 hours before gametime lol)... I felt so terrible when I read the next day (After the USA game) in the newspaper (I think La Prensa Grafica) that this guy who came from the U.S. as well, could not get into the stadium since it was too full and he had a legit ticket.

Shawn is still injured after the T&T game. He could be out of his injury by then, nevertheless, completely out of shape. But in the end it's Briones, and De Los Cobos who will make that decision.
