My g/f and I are driving in today, and we will probably be getting there without much time for tailgating and the like? Any recommendations on where to park? We're willing to pay, but if people know of free parking kind of near the stadium (that will still be available at 7:00), that'd be useful information too. Any idea how many lots will fill up?

Parking at LP is pretty massive, so I doubt you'll have any trouble. There aren't any real free parking lots around the area. There are some folks who sell parking past the bridge near the interstate, on Main Street, but I really doubt you'll have any trouble at the stadium itself.

Free parking is probably out of the question. You could park on the street up past the downtown loop, a half mile from the stadium, but the area around the Cayce projects is prone to a lot of vehicle break-ins on game days.

Another option is to park in the public library garage downtown, at Church Street and 7th Ave. It's only $4, but there might be time limits, and it's a pretty long walk to the stadium.

Thanks, sounds like parking in the stadium lots is the best option. How much does parking run? Haven't found that info anywhere.

I forgot! There's also a Public Garage underground, right across the bridge from the stadium.

Here's a map. (http://www.parkitdowntown.com/maps/)

I think the price changes for the event. I want to say the Olympic Qualifiers were $13, but I could be mistaken. I'm pretty sure it's under $20.

unless you are willing to walk off about 20 lbs then you won't find any free parking...most places around LP field will charge for parking...

some friends of mine are meeting up at logans in west nashville first to east and then we are goin to car pool there instead of each of us going in individual cars to cut cost

Two questions - are little flags on little sticks allowed?

What about bags/purses?

Purses/bags are fine, they will just search them. Not sure about the flags on sticks.

As a purse-wielding female, I'm planning on not bringing mine and shoving my wallet/cell phone/keys in my pockets because I don't want to have to worry about it in the supporter's section.
