Breaking news out of Denver in the last hour... The Broncos have announced they will attempt to trade Jay Cutler. It's just amazing how this situation has imploded on itself in the last month.
Chris Simms at QB = a 5-11 season. Ugh...

What teams are interested in Cutler? I've heard him linked to the Vikings but I think Childress is pretty set on Sage and Jackson fighting for the starting job.

Cutler for Romo straight up. I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Hadn't heard this story, but it certainly helps up Mos Def's claim that Vick wouldn't have got jail time were he a white high-profile QB.
I would rather the Vikings not get Cutler, though. I think he is overrated personally, but he would be more than enough at a position where they only require a decent player. I would fear him putting them over the top... but being the vikings they would surely find a way to f'k it up. :D

This story has actually been pretty big news over here. Although I don't know what the heck you think this has to do with Vick or Mos Def.

I agree with him being overrated but still being an upgrade on what we currently have. Like I said earlier though things seem quiet from our front right now and I think Childress is settled on T-Jack and Sage, unfortunately.

Basically, I just think the (former) officer is a scumbag.

Still waiting for that connection to Vick's situation. :D

Wow not a lot of love for Cutlet around here. Supposedly the Deadkins are trying to offload Campbell which means they must be getting Cutler? Ay Dios! :(

And the "winner" is Da Bears. For first round picks in 2009 plus 2010, plus Kyle Orton. The Broncos give up a third-round pick too.

Wow.
Can't believe we got Cutler. Not that I'm over the moon or anything - I'm just confused as to how he fits a Lovey Smith offense.

Puts Denver in an interesting situation (aside from no longer having a franchise QB). Does McDoofus use the picks at 12 and 18 to rebuild the defense, or does he see if he can package those two picks (and possibly more) in an attempt move up in the draft to go for Stafford or Sanchez?

What, you wouldn't keep Kyle Orton?
:D
This does make Hester and Forte even more dangerous...and Earl Bennett was Cutler's guy in college, so..

I dunno... Orton *could* be serviceable.
Tony Kornheiser just said on ESPN that Da Bears "are now Super Bowl contenders." I'm not sure I'd go that far.

Yeah I don't know about contenders. They certainly will be miles better. The trade looks very even on paper. Just surprised he didn't end up in NY or Tenn.

McDaniels comes from the school of Belichick so I don't see him using either of the 1st round draft picks and picking a QB.

Well let's be honest the NFC is very weak right now, I don't see any team that stands out! Culter is a very good QB who went through alot of shit in Denver, I am sure you know this :D

NY is going to end up taking Sanchez in the draft and why would Tenn need another QB they have 2 of them

Vince Young is trash and Collins, despite his "sensational year" last year, is getting up in age. They don't have a QB for the future.

Bears got 2 1st round picks and a 3rd plus orton. Broncos gave up Cutler and a 5th round pick.
Bears still need help on a defense that wasn't that good last year. And other than Hester who is Cutler going to throw to? Davis?
I like forte as a rb and adding Pace to the line was another good move but they are defanitly not the favorite in NFC right now. I still think the NFC east teams plus Atlanta are in the mix for the best NFC team right now. Cutler is defanitly a upgrade over Orton and finally gives da bears a franchise qb for the next 10 years.
