Which of these 8 players will be the first to get capped at full international level for England?

Wright-Phillps. He will definitely give England a new dimension when Beckham plays in the middle.

The answer is 'None of the above - Chris Kirkland'.

I couldn't remember if Kirkland had played, I know he's been in squads. But if I'd put him in he'd have got 100% of the botes most likely.

By the way, I voted for Wright-Phillips and I agree with rawdog

Defoe.

I'd have Villa's Jlloyd Samuel ahead of Mathew Taylor and Peter Whittingham on that list.

Suppose, but the concept of that disgusts me, he should stick to Trinidad and Tobago

Bramble should never play for England if he plays the way he's playing for the rest of his career.

Glad to hear it, a friend suggested it because I struggling to come up with a defender with no caps.

I dunno about that, he's lived virtually his whole life here and has always been committed to England, this isn't as dodgy as the situations with a lot of the French national team players.

Anthony Gardner will be the next new defender to get capped. He was due to play a bit against Denmark and then also against Portugal, but both times he got injured just before hand and was ruled out.

Has Defoe not already played upfornt for England. When we played Holland pre World cup, didnt he, ricketts and heskey play upfront together?

England need titus brambles creativity, he is elegance personafied.

I voted for wright phillips because he has got what we need at the moment, the ability to skin people on the wing and provide width.

it was Ricketts and Darius Vassell upfront and Vassell scored an over-head bicycle kick

i think bramble has a good chance because of the lack of center backs

Nope. He has no caps. Vassell, Ricketts and Heskey shared the striking duties at the AjaxArena
that night. Vasselll scored that overhead kick to equalise, if you remember.

What lack of centre-backs? Before Bramble in the queue for the two slots are Campbell, Terry, Southgate, Woodgate, King and probably even players like Ehiogu, Dawson or Gardner. And that's all on the assumption that Rio Ferdinand doesn't have his appeal granted and ban reduced sufficiently to allow him to return for Euro 2004.

I think you kinda missed the sarcasm there, Matt.
