Then I realise I'm getting close to Greenock and there's a chance I could die at any moment! :D

Seems to be so few lower division types around.

Not seen any around here. Scottish lower league football does have it's own cracking wee website though.:)
Good win for the Sons tonight. They're probably the only team capabale of catching Cowdenbeath now.

Annan Athletic have been in better form recently than Dumbarton, including beating them in Dumbarton 2-0 recently. i think they still have as good a chance as Dumbarton of catching them up.

Ah the port and that smell from the sugar refinery.
It raises a question. What's the biggest hole. Greenock or Paisley?

I went to a Dumbarton match two years ago against East Fife. It may have been Easter Sunday, actually. It was the day after the Scotland v Georgia match at Hamden. Dumbarton was all right, small stadium, mediocre team. I have checked in on them from time to time to see how they're doing.
Go Sons!

I was there, 2-0 to East Fife was the final result. I think it was that game which secured us a play-off game that season, at Dumbarton's expense.
The final play-off spot was between us and Dumbarton going into a double header, we won 1-0 at Bayview earlier in the week and took that game 2-0 on the Sunday.:D
Dumbarton have a great chance of coming up this year. Even if they don't win the league, they're on good form and Queen's Park, from the 2nd division, who'll probably go into the play-offs are no great shakes.
