I recently bought some adidas ForMotion Elite Socks, and love them, except for one thing. My calves are way to big for them. The foot part fits wonderfully, but I just can't get used to the extremely tight calves. Anyone know of soccer socks that are like the ForMotion Elite's (VERY thin fabric, more like a shingaurd sleeve than a sock in terms of thickness) but are wider around the calf?

the Puma V1.08 socks are supposed to be very thin, but I haven't tried them so I don't know how they fit.
I'm surprised to hear the adidas elites are tight because they don't seem to stay up very well on MLS players during games.

all of the new adidas socks fit much tighter then their predecessors. The Nike Classic sock is thin but it stretches out really easy. My recommendation is to keep wearing what you have and you'll get used to them.

Injinji socks.
Guys you need to try this sock as a base layer. It is called "Injinji" it is a performance toe sock. It was originally for long distance runners, but now athletes are wearing them for all types of sports.
I use them because it reduces blisters and hot spots. Also Arch and ankle support feel great. The thing I really like the most is you actually are able to use your feet to its full potential. Its like comparing a mitten to a glove.
Now that there is field turf being placed all over the states. I highly recommend the sock because the friction from the turf and the shoe creates a lot of heat causing hot spots and blisters.
