Juventus 2-1 Parma. Goals by Del Piero at 38' in the first half and 29' in the second half.
Here's hoping it's the first of many trophies this year for Juve!

Here here...
let's hope this win can push Juve in the right direction this season.
I'd rather take the CL than the Scudetto this season.

my friend said he heard that JUVE is coming to NY to play in Giants stadium. I haven't heard anything. I know Roma played a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything about JUVE coming, can someone please let me know if it's true or not.
Thanks,
a concerned Juve fan...C

I haven't heard of anything, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.
Given that the season was supposed to begin this weekend, but has been delayed, it would have to be something that had been hastily arranged to fill the competitive gap. Or.... since there weren't going to be any league games the following weekend due to Euro2004 qualifiers, it could be then.
A year ago, I'd have said it simply wouldn't make sense for them to come all the way to NY, but having just played in Libya - and in light of Galliani's recent comments about possibly playing Serie A games abroad - anything is possible these days.
However, another problem with the idea is that the NFL is starting up, and the field in Giants Stadium is horrendous. Roma and Real complained about it weeks ago - imagine how it would go over now.

Juve were actually contemplating coming to the US this summer for a mini tour, but they backed out.
Word is that they are supposedly coming next summer now. I heard that there will be a Juve - ManUre game in NY, with Nike sponsoring the game.
Should be interesting.
One thing is for sure, if Juve are within a days drive I'm there.

FYI, ManU are definetely coming next summer with three games scheduled for LA (July 12), Boston (July 16), and NY (July 19). As far as I know they are still looking for opponents. I would not be surprised to see Juve be one of them. Details are here: http://www.championsworld.com/enews.asp?NEid=188056
FWIW, three was a poll on Champions World regarding who fans would like to see ManU play and the winner was Glasgow Celtic in a landslide.
