Groclin 0-1 Bordeaux
Marseille 1-0 Dnipro
Auxerre 0-0 Panathinakos
Sochaux 2-2 Inter
None of the French teams lost but I really felt that Auxerre and Inter needed home wins to advance. Marseille won but was not impressive getting their only goal on a Drogba penalty. Brodeaux which is probably the worst of the 4 French teams did the best by getting an away win. All 4 still have a decent shot to advance with 2 of them in really good shape.

we were lucky, even drogba admitted his penalty kick wasn't valid (he shot the ball twice), I now hope that we'll manage to get at least a draw in ukraine next week.
Concerning the other teams I reckon bordeaux will go through but for auxerre and sochaux it's gonna be tough...

2nd leg
Dnipro 0-0 Marseille (OM 1-0 agg)
Pana 0-1 Auxerre (Auxerre 1-0 agg)
Groclin 1-4 Bordeaux (Bordeaux 5-1 agg)
Inter 0-0 Sochaux (Inter 2-2 away goals agg)
Well 3 of 4 advance and the one that didnt just narrowly missed. Not too bad. Marseille needs to wake up if they want to go further they barely edged out a team they are vastly superior to talent wise. Auxerre showed who the better team was vs. the Greeks. Bordeaux hammered their foe 5-1 a team that Manchester City couldn't beat. Sochaux did well against a more talented team.
The good news is that their will be 3 French in the final 16 and last year there was only 1.

next round
Bordeaux vs Club Bruges
Auxerre vs PSV Eindhoven
Marseille vs LIverpool
Auxerre and Bordeaux got good draws. They avoided Barcelona, Valencia, Liverpool, Newcastle Inter and Roma, They got 2 tough but beatable opponents. Marseille got a bad draw and their not playing well enough right now to beat Liverpool.

You also could say that Liverpool aren't playing well enought to beat us...

Bruges 0 Bordeaux 1 Bordeaux 4-1 agg
Marseille 2 Liverpool 1 Marseille 3-2 agg
PSV 3 Auxerre 0 PSV 4-1 agg
2 out of 3 advance 2 teams in the Final 8 which is 2 more than last year. I thought Auxerre could make the final 8 or 4 but it was not too be because of suspensions and injuries. It's too bad because the team will be broken up this summer so this was their last European hurrah. Bordeaux is hard to figure out they thumped a Champion's League team 4-1 on agg. Marseille good job beating a tough opponent.
