interesting.

barraza was the real deal, many said that the only reason why we went to our first wc was bc of him, and he got injured so he could not show the world what he had.

By the sounds of the interview it seems that he may also be including the friendlies that the national team played with club teams (which are not considred level A international friendlies) and as such are not generaly taken into consideration when tallying a players national caps.

I mean just in the lead up to World Cup 82, the national team played a bunch of friendlies (around 50, the majority of them against club teams). If he's taking all these into consideration (which i'm pretty sure he is) then i'd consider Mora to be the most capped player as all his games are legit.

Just look at these stats:

Number of national team games between 1976 and 1986

FIFA: 52 games played
RSSSF: 75 games played

Although there isn't a definitive number of games, you can see that we never played even close to the amount of games that he said he played (level A internationals that is). Counting the club games then yes, he could possibly have had 105 caps, but again, most of those games are recognized as "real" matches.
