Seriously though - I don't see why the "Landon to Livorno" thread started yesterday got binned. It is "News" and would be a good topic for "Analysis". In "Dude! Where's my thread" it says that we can post here on: "11. Press reports, News, articles, pre- and post-match reports."
If it's random speculation like I started a thread on "Why Landon should move to CKSA Moscow" or something that would be one thing - but the Landon story was reported widely including on Ives' site and La Gazetta dello Sport (http://archiviostorico.gazzetta.it/2009/luglio/21/Livorno_scatenato_Donovan_nel_mirino_ga_3_090721014.shtml) (where's Scotty?? :))
[Anyway, if it WERE an appropriate discussion for this forum, I would say that at first I was happy that he was moving to Serie A, but after some thought (and reading this article (http://soucieonsoccer.wordpress.com/2009/07/21/donovan-to-livorno-a-terrible-idea/) amongst others) I came around to agreeing that it would be better if he could find a team with a little more quality... although I don't buy into the whole "he's one of the best players in the world -> anything less than a Champion's League team is an INSULT to America" thing. The main thing, as we probably all agree on, is playing time - lots of it, and team situation - stable coaching staff and player pool. If Livorno are the only ones interested, I'd rather see him there than the Galaxy. The AC Milan-Livorno tilt would be worth a look!]

Well, except for the fact that he's lying. He was "trying to help" by bumping about a half dozen or so posts from 2002 in 4 different forums.
