Per Paulson on the radio tonight.
Since Friday the Timbers have sold:
1,000 2011 season ticket deposits
1,500 2009 USL-1 season tickets (which serve as deposits)
So 2,500 additional.
This is not counting the season tickets for 2009 that were already sold. Those are rumored to be around 2,000
So 2,000 + 1,500 + 1,500 = ~ 4,500 deposits for 2011.
Keep in mind that 2009 season ticket holders get the right to multiple seats in 2011 so this number will only balloon.

Awesome. Next season you can inch your way closer to the North End! :)
Glad to have you coming to the matches, stop by one of the pubs (Bitter End or Bullpen) pre-match sometime, enjoy the fanfare.

2 more here. I gotta say the front office is doing a heck of a job.
I got a call the other day from Dan (Dan? David? it started with a D). Have no clue how they got my name/number. I have been to two Timbers games in the last three years (lame of me, I know). Somehow I got on a list. I blew him off the first time he called "I'm going to see if my brother will split a 2009 flex plan with me so we can secure our place in line." He called me about a week later "Have you spoken to your brother yet?" I gave him my brother's phone number and said "you sell him on it." Ten minutes later my brother calls me, fully on board. If their effort to secure deposits is indicative of what their marketing effort will be like when 2011 rolls around, watch out!

Zusman is using his power for good. He probably sold season tickets to Paulson and the rest of the players by now as well.

This is reason #1 why I get season tickets. So I can look Dan Zusman in the eye.

Not to put too much of a point to it, but my 3 grade math teacher would say that 2,000 + 1,500 + 1,500 is 5,000 not 4,500. I think you meant
2,000 +1,000 + 1,500 for 4,500.....;)

Okay, after years of going to only a handful of games each season, I've decided to bite the bullet and get season tickets. If I want to sit near/in the TA section, those are GA tickets, right?

You are correct. There is not sitting in the TA sections of 106-107-108. Join us in the Fighting 106. If you like having a good time, singing, and contributing to the atmosphere you will love it here.
Oh and you have to love smoke.
