All,

I'm soliciting a person that would be interested in Modding the El Salvador sub-forum. For my part, it is important that the person have the following characteristics:

1. Regular contributor to this forum.
2. No Racist, Sexist, or Homophobic posting history.
3. No over-the-top (OTT) posting history.

Please pm me if you are interested. If you have any questions, please post them here.

Thanks,

TTM

Yeah, i think benito would do a decent job but you're right, he doesn't come online as often as he used to.

So after thinking it over long and hard, i've decided to put my name into the running in his place :D

So again, my top picks would be:

BKR inc
R9Kevinr9
L.A.Firpo84
Myself

I say we let nominations go until the 28th (before the US game) and then start a poll ASAP. Votes should then end on the 2nd (day after the Costa Rica game). That way we can get the votes from all those members that will come in during/after the games.

we need elections, this is a democracy!

you cant vote for your own and you cant say "ill put myself on it" you have be choosed by the and for the people! :D

we need 3 strong candidates and we need to see if they agree, then we vote.

im not sold on you man, u dont seen to be neutral, you always pull for one side, your side, we need somebody that gets along with everybody.

kevin is a good kid but he is too young, he needs a little more experience to handle different topics, and needs to get a little more informed about certain salvadorans topics, you dont want a 17 years old kid closing threads about stuff he has never experienced.

Give me 3 names excluding your name, I will come out with my 3 picks after reviewing some of the post.

here are my top choices and why.

1. FutbolESporvida: he is never been in an argument, never took sides, he seens mature enough to handle threads like politics, he post regularly.

2. Guanaco1: he seens old and mature enough, never looking for trouble.

3. BKB: im not sure if he visits the forum enough but he is cool.

maybe Firpo, he is one of the boys and he could take sides when debating.

Good luck to all the candidates and if kevin and australia get it, please dont make a communist forum, let people speak up and never take sides or get in arguments, we need to keep the forum clean and educated but at the same time we dont want to scare people away, and we dont want to descriminate other compatriotas!

Isn't that what these nominations are for? I've listed my top three candidates, and no offence to anyone else, but the three people i've picked, IMO, are the only ones that could do a good job. Yes, Kevin is young, but in most topics, he is a lot more mature about things then a lot of people who are older than him. And that's why i've picked him.

im not sold on you man, u dont seen to be neutral, you always pull for one side, your side, we need somebody that gets along with everybody.

You don't need to be sold on me. You get one vote just like everyone else, if you don't want to give it to me then that's fine, give it to who you think will do the best job. To be fair though, i think i get along with most people here, except maybe those that only come here looking to start arguments and pointless topics.

Again, he maybe young, but is he too young to be nominted? No, in my opinion, he's mature enough to be in the running, and that's why i've listed him in my top three. If others agree, then great, he'll be in contention, if not, then he won't. Just cause you say he's too young, doesn't mean that he can't be nominated.

Give me 3 names excluding your name, I will come out with my 3 picks after reviewing some of the post.

I've already listed my top three. And they are the only three who i think match the criteria that TTM asked for.

again somehow all you think is right and what other think is wrong. here are examples.

"are the only ones that could do a good job"

acording to who, you? why dont you let other people to back you up in your opinions... you are not the only one here you know.

"i think i get along with most people here"

you think? really what do people think? let me remind you and quote you from past threads.

"mr australia> mr usa" and if that is your mentality, not you cant be a mod.

" pointless topics."

please, evidences on my pointless topics, prove me wrong. tell which one of my topics is worthless and why...

Just cause you say he's too young, doesn't mean that he can't be nominated.

why dont just ask him how much he knows of el salvador history and of el salvador liga mayor? how much time he has spend in el salvador? this is a salvadoreno-american forum right? how much he knows of salvadoran politics and other important parts of our eveyday life...

And they are the only three who i think match the criteria that TTM asked for

be more specific, whom and why, we need details.

let me tell you something big guy, you get the mod position and you close one of my threads im out, if im here is for a reason, if i dont have anything to offer to the forum, i may as well leave and find somewhere else to talk about La Selecta y la Liga Mayor.

Im not going to be part of a mens forum runned by a child or by an Australiano who has not proof of knowledge of soccer.

You want my respect, tell me what experience you have on soccer and again im not asking you for anything about your social life, just about soccer, if you are not man enough to respond that i cannot have any respect for you compa.

So, actually, this isn't the place to be arguing about it. It is not a democracy. The job of Moderator is an unpaid position chosen by the SuperMods and Admins based on recommendations and available applicants. If you are interested, send me a pm. I will then look over your post history and if there are no glaring issues and after conferring with the CONCACAF Forum Mods, I will ask you for an application. Once all applications are received, they will be reviewed by the Supers and Admins and one will be asked to join.

and we appreciate your time.

you can let somebody take your job for now, but once we stablish whom we want as a moderator we can always switch I guess.

why dont just just let tono to be the mod for now untill we find one? i dont think tono would mind doing it.

hey I am honoured people believe i am a vibile canidate as a mod....lol i thought i was just contribting to speaking about what i love El slavador and football.
In my opinion people who are vible canditates are:
Rkevin - Despite his age i have seen him show some maturity in his post about foootballl (yes their is a few times let his emotions get the better but i believe with the responsibility as being a mod...he will be controlled in his posting)

El Cuscatleco - lol I thought he was moderate cause he is controlled, frequent positing person...whose opinions are well respected by the community

LA firpo - is a frequent poster however only thing that worries me about him....is his sexist and racist comment(very rarely does it but when it does it's prettty bad), but his views are very strong and really makes u think.

benito - would be great a nomination as he has the maturity and the passion needed however not a recnte visitor

scientificguanaco - has a steady and constant views about el salvador soccer which are both well explained and not forceful

Again, it is not that simple. ALL Mod applicants must be reviewed by the Supers and Admins. Currently, you have Mod coverage from the Main CONCACAF Mods and La-H. We, however, would like to have a Mod from the regulars here to cover this specific sub-forum. Thus the request for folks that are interested.

"are the only ones that could do a good job"

acording to who, you? why dont you let other people to back you up in your opinions... you are not the only one here you know.

Yes according to me. That's precisely why i said, "in my opinion". And that's what it is, an opinion. I'm not saying everyone should agree with the people that i've chosen, or to "back up" my opinions. It's up to them to chose who they think is best, but IN MY OPINION, the three that i have listed would be the people best suited for the job.

"i think i get along with most people here"

you think? really what do people think? let me remind you and quote you from past threads.

"mr australia> mr usa" and if that is your mentality, not you cant be a mod.

That quote was directed at you. Did that offend you? Again it's an opinion. Do i think Australia is a better country than the USA, yes i do. Why does that make me a bad person? Also, remember you are the one that began calling me Mr. Australia, so if you got offended by me calling you Mr. USA then you really need to harden up.

" pointless topics."

please, evidences on my pointless topics, prove me wrong. tell which one of my topics is worthless and why...

Do you really want me to go through all the pointless topics and comments you have made on this board over the years? I'm not saying that that's all you do. I mean you do have some good moments where you add something constructive and i'll give you credit for that. But most times, you talk a lot of nonsence. And i'm sure if we'd have a vote on that, the majority would tend to agree.

Look, do a favor and quote me the line where TTM said that a criteria to be a mod ment that you needed to know about Salvadoran history/politics, or that you needed to have in depth knowledge about the national league, or that you needed to have spent a lot of time in El Salvador. Can you do that? No, because he didn't ask for it. You're the one that wants this. And what, just because you want it, is that what we have to do? Obviously most would prefer a mod that matched your critieria, but if that were the case, then 99% of the members here would be ineligable. Come on, don't be dense. This is a football forum, that stuff is an added bonus but it's not a must to be a mod in this section.

And they are the only three who i think match the criteria that TTM asked for

be more specific, whom and why, we need details.

More specific? On what? The "three who i think match the criteria" or what is the "criteria that TTM asked for"?

If you wanna know why i've chosen the people i did, it's simply because the make POSITIVE contributions to our section, for the most part avoid confrentation, post regularly, don't make worthless posts and are mature enough to keep this place under control. Simple as that.

let me tell you something big guy, you get the mod position and you close one of my threads im out, if im here is for a reason, if i dont have anything to offer to the forum, i may as well leave and find somewhere else to talk about La Selecta y la Liga Mayor.

Again, harden up. I'm sure whoever gets elected will at some stage consider closing one of your threads or erasing on of your posts. And if you are so delicate as to get your feelings hurt by having that person go through with it, then i really don't know what to say to you.

Im not going to be part of a mens forum runned by a child or by an Australiano who has not proof of knowledge of soccer.

Haha, again being a mod here obviously requires some form of knowledge about football, but to jugde someones ability to be a good mod simply on how much they know about that certain sport is stupid. Again, you've said you only follow specific teams/leagues right? If so, then IMO, i'd consider someone that follows all leagues and all teams (like Kevin) to be more well rounded and knowleagable about the sport than you, would you agree?

As for him being a child, well dare i say that "child" has in many ways shown more maturity then you have over your years here on BS.

You want my respect, tell me what experience you have on soccer and again im not asking you for anything about your social life, just about soccer, if you are not man enough to respond that i cannot have any respect for you compa.

Look, if you don't like me then that's fine. I have no problem with that. If you don't respect me, then that's all well and good. I'm thick skinned enough not to get my feelings hurt by that. But just do me a favor and open your eyes. Cause maybe then you'll see that the reason we don't get along is not entire all my fault. And if you can't see that then............

I to find some of his posts offensive, but i think that more recently he has been able to keep that in check. If he can continue to do so, then he'd be a good mod.

Wouldn't it be best if we discussed who we (as a sub-forum), feel would do a good job and then pass those peoples names onto you if/when they agree to do it?

IMO that would be the best option. Cause if anyone could PM you then there is a possibility that the mod could be someone that no one gets along with and those people might not want to come here because of it.

I have no problem with you all talking about it and sending me a name or names. Just letting you know that the final outcome may be different based on Super/Admin discussions. They cover the entire site so if one of the regulars here is causing havoc in some other forum...we'll find out about it and that would be a negative wrt to them being selected. Just an FYI.
