Well, 1860 DOES play today, so... Considering that which is at stake, a little imbibing may be in order.
Sechzig MUST take three points today.

I have been watching 1860 since 1968. For those curious, it means I was very, very young when I went to my first match. I have seen them play in every freak'n league that exists in Germany, from the BL to the freak'n Bezirksoberliga Bayern. In ALL that time I can honestly say I have never, EVER seen a bunch of players MORE DESERVING of relegation in my entire life!!!!
These assholes TOTALLY did not deserve the point they go today. I have been a supporter of these guys through many, many problems. Through many controversies. Through many scandals. I can honestly say that today, I saw something I never expected today: an 1860 team playing not only without any heart, but with absolutely no SOUL either!!! These guys have nothing. Nix. Ned. If freak'n Rinus Michaels were to take over this team he could not fix what is broken. You simply cannot play like that.
Maybe the entire team should be sent to their own private training facility like Roesler was if they are going to play like that. Wolf, to his credit, pulled a defender for an attacker (Roesler) which scored the drawing goal.
Rostock? They are pulling a "Chelsea" with the referee because a foul was given that lead to a goal. What freak'n losers!!!!
Clear today? Tschauner is not fit to play on my U10 boys team. Sell his ass, if anyone will have him. I am beginning to think Stevic is right....and now, it's not the 5 Mike's Lemonades I ahve had during the last 10 mins. Stevic wants to scrape and start again. Perhaps that's best. May a clean slate across the board IS the best way to proceed.
If I had the power right now I would relegate 1860 just to server these douchebags right. Only Lauth showed anything out there. Schaefler a bit too. But to a man, those c*nts showed NOTHING on the field....NADA. I cannot fathom how bad they were. To call them horrid is an insult to horrid.
Koblenz is 3 points from 1860 at this point!!!! THREE FREAK'N POINTS!!!! We can only hope that Ahlen and Koblenz get their asses handed to them on Sunday so that 1860 has some breathing room....not that they deserve it at all.
Stink freak'n sauer!!!

at the sign in the stadium which read: "Aufsteig 2010: Aber im welche Liga?"
Translated: "Promotion in 2010: But into which league?"
This was a play on the club's management annoucement when Stevic came on board they were working for promotion to the 1.BL in 2010...something only the criminally insane or perpetually stupid think is possible.

Mamma mia, what an incredible free-kick goal from Sascha Rösler (I remember him scoring similar goals for Fürth as well in the past) in injury time!

Yeah, got to admit that was a great goal. I was happy for him and he seems to suffer from Paul Gascoigne Disease right now. I hope he finds himself and 1860 can stay up.:o

Well, when you read things like this below, after the guy has spent the entire spring bashing the interim coach, refusing to give anyone a contract, makes statements regarding how lazy and useless the players are, and yet NOW when it is most delicate he makes statements like THIS expecting miracles:
„Mental self confidence plays an important role in the last part of the season", says Sportdirector Mike "the obvious never gets past me" Stevic. "If the mental confidence is not strong, you get tired faster, and the legs get weaker faster."
You know, I am reminded of the quote from one of Clint Eastwood's best movies, "The Outlaw Josse Wales" where Josse, tired of being lied to by Jessup, finally says "We have a saying where I come from: 'Don't piss down my back and tell me it's rainin'!'" That pretty much sums up how I feel about Stevic.

Although they say that a win tomorrow means 1860 stays up, we will need a win AND a loss at Koblenz in order to avoid relegation. And even with that happening it will only give us a 6 point cushion with 6 points to play for, so mathmatically we would still be relegation candy, though with a MUCH better goal difference.
Koblenz plays Ahlen away with the latter needing a point for safety. Luckily the situation favors 1860 as Ahlen need to play well to stay safe.
Rostock plays a hot Augsburg at home but with BOTH needing a win to secure points and avoid relegation. Again, 1860 gets a break in that an Augsburg win would help us greatly.
Osnabrueck and FSV have to play Mainz and FCN away respectively. The first two clubs needing points to avoid relegation, the last two needing points to secure promotion. So, AGAIN, 1860 luck out in that there is the "perfect storm" brewing which could help them out BIG TIME.
The ONLY thing right now conspiring AGAINST 1860 is the 1860!!!!!
In the pit of stomach I honestly have the feeling we will be playing the relegation playoff in a few week. I hate to even say it, but I just get the feeling.

I still do not think 1860 has much chance of being relegated. The are still (even after all the mediocre and bad play) ahead of 4 teams. Even if 3 of them get a win all it would take to keep 1860 up would be ONE team (say Osnabrueck) to not win and lose once. I could see Koblenz and Rostock finishing with 3-4 points but looking at the schedules Osnabrueck would be the least likely to win and getting two ties means 1860 is clear.
My point is that while 1860 may not be mathematically safe for a while, there is still a very low likelihood that they will be in the playoff and a further less likely chance that they will be relegated.
That said, 1860 needs a win. Psychologically they would be in a very bad position if they keep failing to win.

All very true.
The one very depressing statistic is that there is ONLY 1 team that has had a worse spring than us and that is Wehen. EVERYONE else in that pack of 4-5 teams has had a better spring AND a better last few games. My biggest fear is that Wehen break their bad streak and beat us.:(

And it could possibly be a bit of a derby game at that. Unterhaching currently holds that spot in the 3. BL.

And if THAT happened, my money would be on 'Haching. 1860 simply looke wretched after the first 25 mins Friday. It was pure "absteigsangst" (relegation fear) the way they played. Never seen a team so rattled. Lauth's goal brought them back but Tschauner's full-out patzer giving Rostock 2-3 let all the air out. If Roesler had not been in the position he is in (of having to prove himself) and luck not been on our side, it would have ended 2-3 or worse.
Rostock wants to blame the ref, but he called a damn good game and that last foul was just that, a foul. He called them consistently all night. It was just happenstance that it lead to a goal. Hell, the corner on which Hansa scored their first goal was actually a goal kick, but the ref missed the deflection. Don't see Hansa bitching about that. They must have Chelsea on their mind.

What I don't get is FCK let him go and Augsburg picked him up fast. Cannot believe 1860 was not looking at him. Just shows how bad we have become even as scouting released talent.

Dude, insider info says he got his release to join Augsburg. 1860 wouldn't have had a chance anyhow.
