Maybe with a twist of the arm from Stevic......
Not Wolf. The only way I see him back in training is if 1) we get an injured striker or two and NEED another striker, or 2) Wolf is fired before season's end.
Like I told you before, one way or another, this kid is probably going to suit up for Sechzig next season.
Never disagreed with that, b/c we both know 1860 does not have the foresight to hire Wolf full time and he will be gone in June. Wolf knows it too. He has already had conversations with other clubs (fact) and is close to an agreement with one club in the 2.BL already (confirmed rumor) but do not know the position.
I'll bet his daddy did go to Schalke and ask them to find a way to void the loan deal. And I'll bet Schalke told daddy dearest that he was wrong for pulling his little Fraülein off the training field and to get their asses back to Munich.
Yeah, I bet it was an eye-opening experience for both father AND son. Father is taken down a few pegs and the son knows not to take shiite advice from his dad anymore. This ain't U17 ball anymore, this is serious you-have-a-contract-type stuff.

True. He'll probably finish the season with the U23s.

That club wouldn't be Rostock or FCN would it??

We're pissed off because we're fans, but you have to remember that teenagers make shit decisions and have shit attitudes at times. They need to learn.
I wouldn't blame Wolf for not giving this kid a break, but dude, the club can't afford to simply banish him.
They could if Schaeffler was any good, but sadly........ ;)

I would agree.

Cannot say.;) You are 50% right on one from what I hear.

He would have to make a larger act of obvious contrition than what he did in Bild. He would need an obvious apology in front of the team and press to satisfy 1860 I would think.

Agree. But if you allow little shits like this to mouth off, when you bring in bigger guns you lose control faster. Pourie will get back in the Elf but not until after Wolf leaves in summer.
They could if Schaeffler was any good, but sadly........ ;)
He's already better than Pourie from what I have seen.

I've heard rumors about both. Rostock would be more viable. Wolf would unsettle Oenning at FCN, but FCN's President has been known to unsettle his coaches in the past.

No, that's what he would have to do to satisfy you. 1860 isn't in a position to be as "hard" as you're being.
They don't absolutely need Pourie, but they don't want to totally banish this kid.
His dad probably, but not the kid.
Agree. But if you allow little shits like this to mouth off, when you bring in bigger guns you lose control faster. Pourie will get back in the Elf but not until after Wolf leaves in summer.
I doubt Sechzig will be bringing in any "bigger guns" anytime soon. Also, the current coach won't be around when anyone else comes in to "lose control faster."
They'll teach him his lesson and let him back in. Next season.
He's already better than Pourie from what I have seen.
That is true. It also isn't saying much for Schaffler either.........

Appears Wolf is trying a few new things...or at least that is what he is saying in the press. With Torben Hoffmann out due to a cold and Aigner saying himself he is not playing well, Wolf is reportedly going witht he following formation:
Hofmann
Ledgerwood - Ghivinaidze - Thorandt - Schick
Rukavina - Mr. L. Leverkusen - Mr. S. Leverkusen - Holebas
Lauth - Johnson
Now you will notice a few people out of position:
Rukavina I guess is seen as more of a flanking threat than Aigner at the moment. This should be interesting to see how effective he can be.
Ghivinaidze is just back from injury, so hopefully Thorandt has a strong game against his ex-club and can help the lad stay stable in the back.
Holebas gets a starting nod which truly means our reserves are low. I hope the kid can find form but atleast Schick is behind him. FCA will no doubt try to run at them and poke holes on that side. I would.
Johnson at striker is an interesting choice. FCA is known for have a VERY slow back line, so having both Lauth AND Johnson - two of the fastest guys on the team, let alone the league - should prove interesting.
I will be enjoying this one late Friday during another "conference call".

And just in case you were wondering, 1860 has their worst record against ANY club with FCA; having only one 1 of the last 7 games....getting blanked in 6 of them. Thank GOD we are not playing at home (0-3 with 0 GF and 7 GA).

I am intrigued by this. Surely he can prove to offer something more than Schaeffler has of late.
What happened to the other young buck who was brought up weeks back and thought to be a solid young 'un to help up front? I have seen little to nothing from him. Name is escaping me right now and I am too lazy to check the website to find out...

You mean either Fetsch or Pourie, the latter being the punk who got bitch-slapped by Torben to teach him a few lessons. Fetsch is a kid who Wolf got from Hoffenheim's U19 who he used to coach.
BTW, hint on where Wolf's next coaching job is.;)
BTWW, I will be in Kiawah in late June for vacation.:D

Seems Markus Kern, one of 1860's Three Stooges in Reuter's old role, is calling it quits (http://www.tsv1860.de/de/aktuell/news/2008/news_2009-04-30_kern.php). Reports say that he wants to "puruse other career alternatives". My guess is:
He does not want to be around when this whole mess at 1860 really implodes.
Is afraid of legal action against him when the DFL finds out exactly how "doctored" the 1860 books are.
Is being "beurlaubt" but among friends they simply say "pursuing other career options".
Is actually the smartest of the three morons and is fed up with all the shiite.
Is making room for Stevic to assume full command in summer.
Anyway you slice it, he has shown next to nothing. In fact, I have not heard him say a freak'n word publically except at the Aufsichsrat meeting.

There was a PK call on Schaefler that the ref did not give which would have made it 1-1. Then Schick gives up a dumbass foul on the freak'n wimp-ass actor Thurk.
We did hit the woodwork no less than three times. Johnson had a decent game and had a kracker that hit the woodwork in the 70th.
To be fair, FCA outplayed 1860, only barely. Ledgerwood totally f'd the goal....he should have marked Thurk all the way...didn't at all. The rest of the match was very unimpressive. I would give 4s and 5s all around. Only Hofmann did well, but hell, he was not test much.
With Osnabrueck winning we are now only FOUR POINTS from a relegation playoff spot!!!

We have four (4) games left. FOUR!!! We need AT LEAST 6 points or better to make sure we control our destiny. We need to win our next two games to avoid having to face two tough teams being desperate for points.
1860 München-Hansa Rostock
Wehen Wiesbaden-TSV 1860 München
TSV 1860 München-Alemannia Aachen
1. FC Nürnberg-TSV 1860 München
Right now, we better pray Osnabrueck, in their last four matches (Aachen, FCN, Ahlen and MSV) do not take more than 4 points. Otherwise we could be looking at a relegation playoff.
I DO NOT want to be where we were a few years ago; waiting for the last game of the season to find out if we keep our asses in the 2.BL.:mad:

Oh, don't get me wrong, it was another atrocious display. Clearly the chemistry is not there with certain players off the field. Both Benders were crap, Hoffmann and Thorandt were invisible, Ledgerwood and Schick were out of position, Rukavina at midfield was a bust as he was better flanking from his right back spot, and Lauth is clearly playing injured.
Honestly, Holebas, Johnson and Michi had "decent" games, not great but ok. It is very, very clear that the team is feeling the stress of not having won and still in relegation danger. This could be a very good character building exercise for 1860, however, they do need max points against Rostock and Wehen, and need to take a point from Aachen at least. That will leave the last game at FCN open for experiementation.

Seems the U23 coach (http://www.tsv1860.de/de/saison/u23/regionalliga/spielberichte/2008/28.php) figured he would forgive the young lady, so she was allowed to play today. My guess is he was TOLD by Stevic to play him. Played along side Fetsch instead of Hosiner, who I think is a better striker than both of them at the moment, but neither scored. Sad when you figure our U23 played with Tschauner, Baumgartlinger, Jungwirth, Pourie and Fetsch...all from the pro Kader.
Ongoing Saga: Messi's cousin still without official Italian pass so he has been here 7 months and counting without a game to his name. Out luck WE we ill the ones to get him his pass then then he gets gobbled up by another club like Neverkusen.

Ewald Lienen turned down an opportunity to take over Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta.
Why does this mean anything?
Because Lienen is the man I have heard most prominently linked with the 1860 job.
I have to ask myself why Lienen would turn down the chance to coach a club who is quickly becoming a perennial Champions' League participant??
This is what Lienen said when asked about turning down that job:
"The club's concept was totally positive and my decision to turn down the position was not an easy one."
Lienen coached Greek club Panionios Athens for a bit more than two years before dissolving his contract with that club by mutual consent.
I think he turned down Anorthosis because he wants to come home again. And if he wants to work at home again, I think the best offer he's going to get is the 1860 job.
And I guess he'll take that despite the 1860 club "concept" being complete fantasy.

Hmmmm....wonder which reports are correct. Found this (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/soccer/2009-04-28-3289560263_x.htm) which seems say he has an agreement. Of course, that was a few days ago and there is this in the AZ (http://www.abendzeitung.de/sport/tsv_1860/103782) confirming what you say. But the report says 1860 had an existing contract with Lienen. How, then does he accept THAT offer if he had a prior contract with 1860?
I am trying to put myself in 1860's shoes right now. They clearly are not going to sign Wolf as head trainer. I think they may keep him as CO 1) if the trainer they do hire wants him, and 2) if Wolf already does not have a better offer.

Garry, that report doesn't say 1860 had an existing contract with Lienen. It wonders aloud if he does and says rumors have been circulating around GS that he does.
It's speculation. It's basically what I was getting at with my comments.

They would be smart to keep Wolf around. But that's what makes me think they won't do it.........

Understood. But is specious at best. Once does not say yes when one KNOWS he has a contract elsewhere.

There are reports that Stevic was goign to fire Wolf today but because it is his anniversary, the club decided against it. (....Bull Shitt....) Instead the club is going to Miesbach to hold private training through Thursday. Also, it has been said that Stevic will be with the team the whole time. Now, whether that means he is "taking over" or not is yet to be seen. But I HIGHLY doubt ANYONE is going to put their reputation, such that it is, on the line for this club right now. Any soon-to-be 1860 coach not come early and risk their reputation on a team only 4 points above relegation. Stevic is too pu$$y to put his name where his mouth is and fire Wolf and take over and "save" the club. No other person would be daft enough to come in for 4 games. Lastly the U23 coach is no better a solution than Wolf. So reports are that Wolf is simply a "marionette" for Stevic...which I doubt. Unless I hear Wolf say it himself, I won't believe it. He is not the type to keep his mouth shut and take the blame unless he has full control.
They MUST win against Rostock on Friday. A draw is NOT an option. If they do not get 3 points I really, seriously fear this team will be in the 3.BL next season....and Ewald Lienen won't be anywhere around.
Note: I read on one 1860 board where someone (probably a 13 year-old) wrote that, "1860 should just stop screwing around with guys like Wolf and Lienen and hire Arsene Wenger", regardless the cost. I laughed SOOOO hard reading that I nearly fell off my chair. That someone could call themselves a fan of 1860 and not know we are broke as Oliver Twist and could not lure Wenger within 5 miles of the club even if we had strippers and free wine, makes me ashamed this guy is an 1860 fan.
