Kicker Ratings in (shaking head).
Bender mismarks Taylor TWICE and gets a 3,5!!! He was non-existent. It was such a horrid game I was exepcting 5's all around except for Lauth and Tschauner. Gulan clearly missed his chance to impress.

No arguments from me. I didn't see it. :D

Interesting comment from Garry over on the FCB board about the rumor of Bayern making a play for the Bender twins. Interesting, even as a rumor. I can see it from a replenishment of the youth perspective, but they are in no way ready for that kind of stage.
I remember when folks were calling for Sandro Wagner to be in the Starting XI... Yeah, how'd that work out for 'em?

I highly doubt it is true. I think it is more someone overhearing a few suits in a biergarten talking about the twins and someone said Bayern and then their ears picked up.
Besides, their dad has guarded their careers very closely. He will not want to set them up to fail. They have nice, long careers in front of them (God willing) and putting them under the Bayern microscope is not a smart move.

Really, I hold a good number of 1860's younger players in high regard for the long term... Fabian Johnson being one of them, especially since his move from the back four.

There's good young talent there. Some are overrated, but I don't know anyone who has a better young talent base in Germany than 1860.
Problem is, if they keep losing them, the well will eventually run dry........

already happening. Look at the U17s and 19s right now. Decent kids but no great names coing through like the Benders, Gebhart, Jungwirth or Schaefler.

That's exactly what I did... It does that to all of my (and I assume LB's) avatars...

Yeah. And I have tried compression, resizing, etc. Nada. Mine are all at or below the size they say to save them as. Tried using URL-based ones and uploading from my desktop. Nada. Gonna try something else now....cloning.
Edit: Tried cloning. Took Silent's graphic did not change it and tried to uplaod as mine. Showed as same small size as my other ones. <grrrrr>

Aigner is fit again. TZ is reporting he can play this weekend.
1860 is testing french talent "Junior" (19) from SC Amiens in the second division. He is not on their pro or second team roster, so must be a U19 and would be transfer free.
Ivo Ilicevic is rumored to be on the 1860 shopping list. His contract is owned by Bochum though he is on loan to GF. He would cost though since his contract runs through 2010.
Emanuel Biancucchi, better known as Messi's cousin, is still waiting for his Italian pass. There is a very good possibility that he could get sold before he even plays one game for 1860.
Merkur takes their stab at who to keep below....
Michael Hofmann (36) Was promised a one year extension this winter by Reuter and a coaching place in the youth division. Named #1 by Wolf, but will Stevic honor what has come before?
[LB: If Stevic goes back on this agreement his should be flayed in Marienplatz]
Antonio Rukavina (25) The best solution 1860 has had at right back in some time, but 1860 cannot afford him. Will BVB take a barter of Sven Bender for him?
[LB: Agree but hate to lose Bender for him]
Markus Thorandt (28) Has offers from Pauli, Ingolstadt and others. Good performer and fast, but 1860 has not extended with him....they need to hurry.
[LB: Agree, Stevic needs to get off his ass and sign him if he still can]
Michael Schick (21) His amatuer contract runs out and has not been given a pro one. 1860 wants to keep him but have not made him an offer yet.
[LB: Same here...Stevic must be playing Call of Duty in his office during the day b/c he sure ain't signing players]
Nikola Gulan (20) Came in the winter, got injured and just returned Sunday to his first start....it was no recommendation.
[LB: Punt]
Nicolas Ledgerwood (24) At first there was much talk about keeping him, then quiet. When he plays its okay, but sometimes bad.
[LB: Stupid comments...this kid is a rock and should be signed]
Christoph Burkhard (24) Last summer a deal could not be struck with RW Ahlen. Will this summer be the final one at 1860 for him?
[LB: Gone]
Danny Schwarz (33) A regular but injury prone. Given cost savings needed by the club he will likely go back to 'haching.
[LB: Agree, let him go]
Julian Baumgartlinger (21)
Never really fit into the 1860 mold. Has many offers from Austria, Italy, Switzerland and other German BL and 2.BL clubs. He will likely leave.
[LB: I think it's BS that other 1.BL teams want him....just not that good]
Jose Holebas (24)
Shows much potential but also much unrealized. 1860 wants to keep him but has not begun discussions yet.
[LB: Discussions WERE underway with Reuter....now nothing]
Markus Schroth (34)
The clearest case of them all. Acts more as a co-trainer than as a player during practce. Has not played one second since his kneed injury....and likely won't again.
[LB: Oh, what could have been with him healthy with Lauth up front...]

Trouble in Paradise? Seems Stoffers and Stevic are having the same cat fight that Stevic is having with Wolf in the press. Essentially Stoffers is saying Stevic must "take control" and make sure we don't have another season like we are having now. Wolf is saying that he needs the right players to make things work. Stevic is playing Doom in his office during the day and obviously Stoffers is talking to reporters instead of lowering our operating costs.

Emmanuel got his counsin's kit from yesterday's Bayern-Barca match. Seems Wolf (speaks spanish, Emmanuel kein Deutsch), his wife and Schroth went to the match too. Seems Wolf knows how to hob-knob to keep talent. Where was Stevic? Playing Barbies with Stoffers I guess.

They showed Messi giving him the shirt on Premiere. I wonder if they got to spend any time hanging out.
