I did another poll with 16 of the best ever and some of these players would perhaps have been candidates for that poll so this is i guess almost 'Who do people think is most worhy of being with other legends like Pele, Cruyff, Maradona, Platini etc in my other poll'. By the way I liked the comment you made on another thread about Blanc and Desailly being the best libero and stoppeur for France. Stoppeur sounds like the Policeman off Allo Allo saying stopper lol but I guess it is a French word that does mean stopper (or did you spell it wrong in English? - in which case your English is still loads better than mon francais mon amis)

Yep "stoppeur" is the francization for stopper. Far less used since the old sweeper/libero role has disappeared now we just say défenseur (central).

I went with Puskas for the mark he and his squad left on football, but Garrincha could have worked as well. Hard to compare Yashin with the rest.
