I'm taking the test to be certified in June before the format changes to 3.0 and the AP+ credit is the only game in town.

Anyone else certified?

Studied and was going to take it, then folks within the USGBC told me I should just wait for all the new fangled goodness to come out. So I obliged and am waiting and will take it this summer...

You have to register for the 2.2 exam before the 31st of March, and take the exam by June 30th - those are the deadlines before the new BD+C or ID+C exams roll out to the masses.

Though I am sure you already knew that...

Already did that. Test is scheduled on June 15th.

But I had someone else from USGBC tell me that professional accreditation will be in two steps under 3.0 and that the lower 'associate' track will amount to diddly and only the AP+ will be the real professional credit. She also said that a bit of a catch 22 for smaller firms may come up as you would need LEED project experience to get accreditation but how can you get the experience without it.

Totally am. Thanks. Are you planning on upgrading to the AP+ any time soon?

i am. i haven't really read a whole lot about it, but it's my understanding i don't have to take an exam, just enroll and agree to the credential maintenance program (enrollment doesn't begin until june '09).
