I am looking for a summer league to follow

I hope you guys can help.

I am looking for a summer league to follow (besides MLS ;) ).

Criteria


1. Approx May-end of August

2. Italia would be great (I know, or think I do, that none of the pro leagues play then....maybe universities or something?)

3. Failing that, a Southern Hemisphere League, maybe?

4. Watchable (even if only on computer, or only highlights)

Russia is the strongest European summer league.

There's also Copa Libertadores, which doesn't continue for the entire summer, but it'll get you to mid-July and its far easier to access (every match is televised in the U.S.). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copa_Libertadores_2009

I would assume that the countries listed under 2008 play during the summer like MLS and the countries listed under 2007/08 play during the winter. One major league listed under 2008 is Japan. FSC has J-League highlight shows.

They play from March to October so the season is already underway. Setanta and RTE cover the games for Ireland, I've no idea if you can watch them in the USA, I know they don't broadcast it into the UK :(
