What do your team players give back ?

I'm interested to know what stories any of you have about what premiere league footballers do for your community outside the game, this was prompted by a player who joined Blackburn in the summer from Rangers, Lorenzo Amoruso, he recently gave a talk at my sons school and was absolutey fantastic, he had in depth knowledge of the town, he gave excellant motivational tips to the students and even had a kick about with them in the playground afterwards, apparantley he visits about three schools a week in the area on a volantary basis, now for a player who has only been here a short time i think he's a credit to football.

That is indeed fantastic.

Apart from group sex sessions with drunken teenage girls (as alleged in the weekends News of the World) I really can't think of much "giving back" to the community.

I remember Freddie Kanoute doing a road safety thing at the start of the season. The Malian Green Cross Man.

I know Jamie Redknapp in particular is a very nice chap who does a lot of things. But I suppose with all that sitting around in the treatment room, he does have the time for it.

I should also give a mention to David Dunn who when at Blackburn was always in the local papers opening some childrens ward or helping some fund raisng charity, he also presented medals to my sons team once, after the presentation he hung around for about two hours talking to parents and the kids and signing autographs, in the past when previous players have done the presentation they used to scarper quicker than they ever did on the pitch, so credit to Dunny, i hope he's still the same in Brum.. his girlfriend is pretty tastey too..
