2-1 to the good guys.

Schwartzer played his ass off, but Bellamy equalized and then Shearer put it away with a penalty.

Top 4. One point clear of Charlton and three of Liverpool, who have a game in hand (playing Portsmouth in FA Cup action this weekend).

Very very lucky. We played terrible in the first half and if Ugo Eggynogg had not arsed up we would have lost. Ambrose was very poor and failed to show what he has to offer over Dyer, Bowyer or the departed Solano. Iffy penelty gave us the win but probably the worse we've played all season.

A disapointing afternoon lightened by the GEORDIE DANCER!!!!!!!!!! before kick-off and the celebrations after both Newcastle goals. :)

Dur dur dur dur du dur dur dur dur dur dur dur dur du. LOL

Couldn't agree more with all three of these points. But, sometimes you need a bit of luck in this league. Man was I relieved to hear the whistle go after I thought Ricketts had equalised.

Unfortunately, we really have no better options on the right side. Both Bowyer and Dyer have had unsuccessful spells on the outside and we sold Solano, so we really have nobody better.

According to that legitimate paper of record, The Sun, Shearer ripped into such slacks as Dyer, Jenas, Bramble, Ambrose and Amoebi saying it is time the younger players start living up to their potential.

I really hope that this story is true. All of those players listed have been in dire need of a swift kick in the arse for some time. I was glad to see Jenas out of the line-up on Saturday as he hasn't done much of anything all season. And now I read that Bobby is having to defend himself over not picking him. WTF? Jenas deserved to be dropped, although that's not to say Dyer is playing much better right now. Personally, I have been very disappointed with the overall contribution from these lads.
