Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where people could easily find where people are staying and when they will be in Mexico City.

Haven't booked a hotel yet, but I'll be in Mexico City on an AA flight from DFW Tues. to Friday.

Mods please Sticky this Thread.

I also plan on attending via an American Airlines flight from Miami International. I plan on arriving Tuesday and leaving Thursday morning.

No hotel booked yet.

I'm hoping I can get a go-ahead on this in the near future. Flights were relatively cheap out of LA. I might be flying in Sunday or Monday, but leaving the day after the game.

With regards to the hotel, if i can get the go ahead, I'll be staying where the majority of US fans are.

I am flying from either San Diego/Tijuana or L.A. arriving Monday 8.10 and leaving Thursday 8.13. Hope to join a group visiting the Tenochitlan pyramids on Tuesday 8.11. Have not booked a hotel yet. Galeria Plaza looks promising but I would like to find a 2nd person to share a room & costs. 16 Pesos to the dollar.... the possiblities are endless..

i dont think there is any reason at all to sticky this thread. as people post it will stay at the top. but, that could just be my anal retentive message board feelings coming out.

i dont have a flight yet but will be flying on AA through DFW coming in Tuesday and flying out Thursday. i will be staying at the Sheraton Centro Historico Hotel. stayed there before and i liked it...

The AA flight I'm eyeing at the moment flies through DFW as well. When it comes time to book in June or late May I hope that one remains available.

I just changed my flights to match most everyone else. I will be in Mexico City on an AA flight from Dallas at 12:15 in the afternoon on Monday and leaving Thursday morning after the game connecting through Miami and back to Columbus. Tuesday sounds good to me as far as Teotihuacan. Now just the hotel.

wow, strange morning. Just found this site today with no intention of two hours later booking a trip to DF for the match. I arrive on Sunday and am leaving on Thursday...staying at the Galeria Plaza Hotel - Mexico City, four stars and well priced.

See you all there.

Strange day it has been!!

oh, one last item. when will tickets go on sale for this? I am assuming the federation will have a grip load of them that they will be selling?

I'll be there. I haven't booked anything yet, flight or hotel, but flights don't seem too bad coming out of LAX. If possible I'd love to be wherever the majority of the US fans are staying.

I will have a group of 6-8 people staying at the Galeria Plaza Hotel.

We are Minnesotans though!!

Meh. I know there's been a sickening amount of violence the past year or so, but D.F isn't like the border towns, which are completely controlled by the cartels. There's always an element of risk when you're watching you're in a foreign country watching two rivals play, but it's not overly dangerous.

I haven't booked my flight yet out of L.A, but I've been checking prices and they're very reasonable. I will be there along with a few friends. Can't wait!

A few of us (5 to 7 i think) from the ESC, have booked flights from Toronto Monday 8/10 (day after RB-Toronto game) to Mex City.

Does anyone know if someone will be running a bus to the stadium like the old Soccer Travel used to do? Is that new Ole Ole planning anything?

I really hope so and if not does anyone know how hard one would be to arrange?

if Ole Ole doesnt plan anything then i think it would be worthwhile for us to work on it. if we come up with a meeting point, it should be fairly easy to get a bus chartered out....

not tough at all. the key is coming up with meeting points before and after the match and making sure the bus can access both. also, you cant wait around three hours for drunken stragglers :)

I sent Ole Ole an email seeing if they are planning on doing anything like that.

I'll let everyone know what kind of response I get.
