I grew up playing with Nel Fettig, Courage defender. When we were in middle school she was the only girl in our league, and I promise you she was also the player we were physically most scared of. I couldn't care less if Mia Hamm or Brandi Chastain are on tv,... why would i care when i know that EPL, La liga, Serie A, Ronaldo,Owen, and so on are on tv? I mean this is the real thing, not the stuff you watch on PAx.

Probably the girls already know that their game will never take off in the country. The men's game is commercially more profitable in the long run than theirs. I 'd rather watch women's beach volleyball or tennis than women's soccer. But i do admire their passion. Their pay is one of the lowest in the country some of them live in basements, and they keep going and going. That's why their best movement was to keep the WUSA for themselves, in that way, they have more autonomy to manage their league without outside interference.
I wish them the best, and i hope their league survive, but to get the world's respect, in all guy sport, will be a hard thing to do.
