Former DC United captain Marco Etcheverry played the final 25 minutes in Bolivars 3-1 victory over Boca Juniors. Marco looked fit and played extremely well. He took two corners one of which Roger Suarez smashed off the woodwork and played some nice thru balls. He had one beautiful 40 yard pass into the corner that Gati Ribeiro almost converted.
Damn, rooting for Bolivar and seeing Marco in that uniform was really tough for me. Being a The Strongest fan, it was the equivalent of cheering for The Scum against an all Al-queda team. :rolleyes:
Great to see Marco still has the passion for the game. Buena suerte Diablo the rest of the way In Copa Libertadores.

I was at work today and saw that Fox Sports en Espanol was carrying the game. I left early and didn't get a chance to watch any of it but I'm glad to know that he played and looked good.

Ahhh!!! thanks for that Chico! Wasnt it Marco that said Boca was NOT invincible in that article Maddog put up here? (ok I admit my Espanol is bad but I believe he said it...)

Haven't seen the game yet, but it has been recorded.
The Strongest better deliver tonight verses that crap team their playing tonight.
