If true will this send all the drunk Irish-Americans in boston to AA? Or will they break out some stats that are meant to convince that Maddux is the worst long term starter of the 90's?

So Georgie signed Brown, and now is trying for Maddux and couldn't re-sign Pettite? How stupid. This would be even more unnecessary than getting A-Rod. Another righty on the wrong side of 35.

Well, as of tonight, I am a Cubs fan again. I switched to the White Sox in '92 when the Cubs refused to re-sign Maddux. Of course, the Sox screwed with me a lot more than the Cub would have in that period as well as pissed off my entire Cub-loving family. With Greg back in Wrigley, where he belongs, I can burn my White Sox stuff.
