Hopefully things work out in that sense. Any trials should be welcomed at his behalf. He didn't specify which team he was hoping to trial with, so it could be anywhere from an EPL to a League 2(fourth division) team. Maybe even non-league. Realistically, probably 2 div-4div.

So if since Burgos may not be able to make it for the following two games, Who should be called to replace him???

My candidates:

Carlos Menjivar Jr.
Victor Merino "El Pega" Dubon

I also think Cristian Esnal should get a chance on the national team. His physical strength can help our defense.

You made a big mistake saying that they should call Menjivar Jr. and El Pega, first we already got someone younger, someone who already plays his position and better than El Pega which Castillo. Plus El Pega hasn't been doing anything with the club he is in, I've been watching a couple of Aguila games when I have time and I don't think he's even a starter or plays at all anymore or maybe I just have notice him but he doesn't have the skills he use to have back then. Now about Menjivar Jr. he hasn't been playing since the gold cup in 2007 and has been without a club searching in the U.S. for a club to play in and had no luck, now he's with Metapan and I don't think he's playing like he use to since he hasn't been playing for a long time now, so I don't think DLC is going to call him anytime or maybe at all if he has nothing to prove to be with the national team. With El Pega I don't think he's going to be called anymore with National team.

Cristian Esnal I can't talk about since I don't think I know about this player.

If we can't find someone to replace the alianza players we will be playing with a 4-4-2.

whos christian Ensal were better off with Murgas, and "cerveza" Monteagudo.

Dubon es jugador quamADO, HE is one of the reason we got burned at home by Jamaica in the last wc qualifyers.

You have a point. But there's been players like Luis Hernandez who don;t get much time on their teams and do well on the national team. I think el Pega has lots of skills he just needs to be confident. I think menjivar has already scored a couple times for metapan.

Here's the info on Cristian Esnal. Hes playing for Balboa.

Months ago I put a post on Cristian Esnal. He's Salvadorean/Uruguayan. He has the African genes, strong guy which can bring strength to our defense.

i agree Monteagudo should be there!

It's exciting hearing all this talk about El Salvador, although I don't think there's much to be excited about if ur rooting for El Salvador. I don't see any way in hell where they win this game. However, its interesting to know about these new players. Now, the guy that might go to Europe, how old is he? Where does he play? and why can't he go back to El Salvador? Is he illegal? If he's so good why isn't he playing for a team here?

Efrain Burgos is 20. He plays for San Jose State University. He has rejected opportunities to play for an MLS club because he had promised his mother to finish college before playing professional soccer.

As far as leaving the country. He only has a permit to study in the states. IF he leaves he's not able to come back to the U.S

He had and still has a chance to play for the Earthquakes but he wants to stick to college and finish his last year, he trains with the Earthquakes though, right now he plays for a college team in San Jose, he's 21 years old, reason he couldn't play for El Salvador cause he didn't get permission from his father and he wasn't so happy about it cause he left his studies behind and he didn't get all of his papers all sorted out when he came to El Salvador.

Cristian esnal?? i heard nothing but negative things about him.. he's strong but pretty slow and a poor defender.

Dubon has skills but he's a ball-hug and a hot-headed, he could leaves short handed. remember the ecuador 1-5 lost.

IMO... "cerveza" should be playing for la selecta.

This sucks!! We will have to play against the USA and Costa Rica without Castillo, Zelaya, and Sanchez. Why would FESFUT do that?

I think is more like, why is the new president of ALIANZA doing this to EL SALVADOR......FESFUT is just trying to flex their muscle for once. ZELAYA didn't make the uncaf's appointment that's an automatic supencion in FIFA'S book and a big NO-NO..damn everything is going wrong at the right time for EL SALVADOR..

The Uncaf tournament is not an official FIFA tournament... If anything ES will probably be suspended from the Uncaf tournament or this Gold Cup for a couple of years..
