Well if there is any game the players should ensure they are up for it and that there's no Euro hangover- it should be this one! ;)

Will this game be the start of our run to the title! :)

Wow. Don't even give us a chance to bask in our European glory. Damn Aussie! ;)

Here would be my squad...

---------------------------------Reina------------------------------------
Arbeloa------------Carragher----------Skrtel---------------------Insua
--------------------Mascherano---------Alonso--------------------------
Kuyt----------------------------Gerrard----------------------------Riera
----------------------------------Torres-----------------------------------

Subs - Cavalieri, Agger, Dossena, Lucas, Benayoun, Babel, Ngog

I am not sure on how tired, fit, or injured some of our players are, but I think this is the team we should field. Some players looked really tired or like they were carrying little knocks (see Aurelio, Mascherano, Arbeloa, and Torres), so I think later on in the week we will get a clearer view of what team Rafa will field.

I want to win this match badly, but I see a draw on the cards. 1-1. Our place in the title race will remain the same, but I am not too disappointed. It may be bad or wrong, but I am placing a lot of stock in a Champions League trophy coming to Anfield in May.

Of course, I would gladly take a win at OT, followed by Rafa and various players (like Agger, Kuyt, etc.) signing new, extended contracts the following day.

IMO it would be a brave move by Rafa to play Insua in a match where experience, physical strength and stamina and composure are key. Yes Insua does have good composure for such a young player but surely Aurelio or Dossena will play this match. Also Rafa's comment that Aurelio always shows his quality after consecutive matches hints that Aurelio will probably play.

Riera will be fresh, Torres has another 80 mins under his belt and Arbs has another 90 mins so they are positives. Agger also back from injury.

It seems pretty clear what squad we will see, also I doubt that Babel will start, as Riera will provide more width on the left, which will be needed to be provided by the winger as our LB probably wont be making too many runs forward. Babel as a sub in the last 25 minutes will be great as he has hopefully taken some confidence from the Madrid match.

Gerrard and Xabi also got significant rests, probably something that Rafa wasnt really expecting.

Reina
Arbeloa - Skrtel - Carra - Aurelio
Xabi - Masch
Kuyt - Gerrard - Riera
Torres

Subs: Cavalieri, Hyypia, Dossena, Lucas, El Zhar, Babel, Ngog

The LB and LW spots are probably the only ones that we dont know about...although Aurelio and Riera are more likely to start.

I just CANNOT wait for the start of this one. We'll be completing the double over MU come the 14th hopefully. While I'm hoping we'll go on and win the title...that seems...never mind. A win here will narrow the gap to 4 points, but MU still have a game in hand. Oh well, the line-up I hope for is:

Reina
Arbeloa - Carragher - Skrtel/Agger - Aurelio/Dossena
Alonso - Mascherano
Kuyt---------Gerrard------------Riera
Torres

While I know I mentioned Agger up there, I know he's not likely to get a go in a game of this importance because he hasn't had enough match practice leading to this one.

If we can play anything like we did yesterday, there's no reason we can't take this game to the Manure. Come on you Reds!!!

I'm going to dream a little....1-0 to the good after a very tight game. We score at the end like they use to do to us all the time. Carra then goes and pumps the badge to Neville :D

Walk on.

I've got tickets for this one. About four of us are going over. Actually heading over Friday night, few bevoirs and then up to the Skip early. Nick a 1-0 and first train home!

The missus has signed me off for the duration - I'm not back on duty until Sunday afternoon. :D

Rafa will not mess with the lineup that housed Madrid - and to be fair it's the kind of lineup we need to go at ManU from the get go.

Also - not to be lost is that our players get an extra day of rest for this game.

Yeah, here's hoping for 120 minutes plus penalties tonight, eh?

lol yeah - but I'm actually hoping for 120 minutes and a simple 2-0 or 2-1 win for Inter. Penalties are not tiring, and could go either way.

Really want Inter to win as it will be demoralizing for ManU - and then Red Nose will complain for the next 3 days.

I'd rather United win. Law of averages says they won't lose twice at home in the space of a few days and in any case, if they go through to the QF we have a chance to get drawn against them and knock them out. :D

normally, i would agree with an unchanged line-up, and babel did have a pretty good game, but i'd put riera in for sure... he gave wes browneye fits in the first match... and we'll need him to track back...

also, if anyone needs a good stream, veetle.com (http://www.veetle.com/channelList.php) has been money so far for me this season for setanta games... always a high quality stream that's never crapped out on me... i used to have a monthly subscription for the setanta broadband service, but i canceled it after i found this site, as the picture quality is almost as good as the setanta site's 650 kbps stream...

I just hope the correct Liverpool will step onto the pitch at the pile.

5:30 KO over here on the left coast, I like to let the DVR get about 30 minutes into the match, then I can skip over half time and catch up on the final stretch.

Have a good night out at the skip Matt and a better afternoon..!

Could this be a preview of the Champions League final? Good chance.

I think we will see a very similar lineup to one that crushed Madrid. Our advantage is in the center of midfield. Mascherano and Alonso are capable of controlling things against the likes of Carrick and Scholes.

If we win this one, that would make it an incredible 12 for 12 against Man U and Chelsea. The baffling thing is that we still won't win the league.

"Great moments... are born from great opportunity. And that's what you have here, today, boys. That's what you've earned here today. One game. If we played 'em ten times, they might win nine. But not this game. Not today. Today, we run with them. Today, we stay with them. And we shut them down because we can! Today, WE are the greatest football team in the world. You were born to be football players. Every one of you. And you were meant to be here today. This is your time. Their time is done. It's over. I'm sick and tired of hearing about what a great football team the Scum have. Screw 'em. This is your time. Now go out there and take it"
