I'm discouraged, but not because we lost two pre-season matches in a row. I'm discouraged because in two pre-season matches we're yet to score a single, solitary goal.

i think you would have to have a bit more information to read too much into this. there could be some reasons this isn't so discouraging (though John's "bleech" probably describes it) that might account for no goals. for example, the staff may have them working on very specific sorts of things that don't maximize shots on goal, etc. it may have just been ineptitude, but it may also have been a by product of where they are in their training, etc.

a new staff likely has to engage in a bit of tearing down, before they rebuild. we are certainly in that phase of the transition at this point. it takes a while to impose a new system.

Reading the comments that Nowak had to say when Dyson interviewed him last week, he says the real meat and drink of his off-season tinkering will be done whilst their in Mexico.. As far as I know, there isn't any American University or Lynn University in Guadalajara that I'm aware of..
