Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has been left out as his girlfriend is expecting their first child this week,

I'm happy Carragher got the call up. He really desearved it. Hopefully Sven realizes that he is better than Gary Neville.

I'm better than Gary Neville. :D

Well done and deserved for Carra. Always steady and now is coming up on the attack. Let's hope he gets the cal for the Euro Cup matches as well.

When ever he shanks one my lad and I sing "there's only one Gary Neville" Thank God.

Did you see his head butt on Macca? What a swarmy little sh!t

Loved it when Fowler came over telling Neville where to go - didn't need to be lip-reader to understand what he was saying to him! lol

Just hope the LFC lads come back from the friendlies all unscathed and not too knackered.

All that matters to me is that no-one appears to have been injured.

Raven stars for England
Promising Liverpool defender David Raven earned rave reviews once again when he returned from injury to captain England Under-19s to an impressive 2-1 victory over Holland.

Raven, who this season was promoted to training full-time with the first team at Melwood from the Academy, is a highly thought of defender who looks
set for a bright future in the game.

A regular member of Hughie McAuley's reserve team, Wirral born Raven is versatile and is equally as comfortable playing at right back as he is
centre half.

I've seen this lad play for the stiffs ... he's the real deal. We should be seeing something more of him over the next 12 months.
