Heh, looks like I'm not going to the Tuesday night. :D I'll be at the Springwater instead, watching Dave Cloud sing.

I think the March to a tailgate is a great idea...BUT this should be weather permitting. If weather makes a Tailgate impractical then a March-In straight from the bar would be a better idea.

Any thoughts on the afterparty? Big Bang Bar sound good?

I found this little article on one of the back pages on ESPN:

Hand of Justice is Ready for a New Season

Kansas City Mo. (AP)- Somewhere in the historic Westport neighborhood of Kanas City, a national icon is ready. Making an off season training trip to Columbus OH this past winter, the Hand of Justice has not been in this good form in over a year.

The Hand was called up by the American Outlaws to perform on the national level just a few short months ago. Yet as many had predicted, the trip would not be an easy one. Security at the heralded KCI attempted to stop the Hand's voyage before it could begin; passing the suitcase in which the Hand lay dormant in three times through the X-ray machine. Yet as always, the Hand stepped up and made it to Columbus.

Upon arrive to Ruby Tuesday’s on matchday, the Hand didn’t waste any time bringing fans from all over this great land to justice. The pre-match party, hosted by the Hudson Street Hooligans and the American Outlaws had never seen anything like. The Hand’s first victim was common one- Magic.

“I know it was only noon, but someone from Kansas City had to show all these b**ches how to drink,” Magic said. “Something about match day, $2 PBR tall boys and the Hand of Justice just makes you want to cry, ‘I love America!’”

Soon after Magic’s first taste of the sweet tang of justice, fans from Dallas, Houston, LA, and even a stupid Sounder’s fan with dumb lime green Xbox jersey needed to get in on the party. Lead by the Kansas City crew, Hands were going out left and right to the toon of “Hand of Just-ice, Hand of Just-ice!”

“It was f***’n ridiculous man,” Justice, the creator, owner and keeper of the Hand of Justice mentioned. “I carried that bastard child of beer bong around my neck for 6 hours. Must have handed out close to 100 Hands that day. It was a truly glorious day for America, right up there with William Taft’s inauguration, the recall of the Ford Pinto and grand opening of Steak and Shake, this day will most likely be forgotten.”

Immortalized by cameras and Iphone photos, the images of the Hand bringing down justice upon all spread across the Internet like a Delta Gamma’s inner thighs.

Since the call up, the Hand has been training hard, mostly with Natty Light and Keystone. It has trimmed down to a slender 4 feet in length to better serve the taller jackasses that don’t like to go down to a knee. It has also set mandates on cleanliness and vows to ensure no residue is left between games.

It was rumored that the Hand may not be prepared for the spotlight on the National scene, yet as those in attendance saw, the Hand’s training from its home in the Cauldron had prepared it like nothing could. Holding up to even a few tools and losers, the crowning moment was when Justice himself loaded up the Hand in front of approximately 100 Mexican fans and delivered a flawless execution.

And as the crowed roared and chanted for the Hand of Justice, the Hand knew it was no longer an untested, over zealous cultural icon of the plains; the Hand had made, and made it big.

The Hand is presently preparing for its second season with the Cauldron. When asked for a comment, the Hand remained silent as always; like Chuck Norris, the Hand doesn’t sleep, it only waits.

"America! F*** Yeah!"
"Mexico! F*** You!"

I'm extremely excited about seeing Hand of Justice again. I only wish we had a college campus nearby so we could chant, "Come Have a Beer" again.

I cast my vote for the Big Bang bar. They want to host us, and that place looks absolutely sweet.

Having been to what seems like 1000 post-game drink-ups, I have some unsolicited advice:

ALWAYS GO WHERE YOU ARE WANTED.

If a drinking establishment is not planning for a good-sized addition to the regular business, the service will probably be shitty even if the barstaff doesn't resent you, especially considering that quite a few supporters will be sloshed from six hours of drinking.

A place that wants you not only will staff appropriately, they'll often give more buybacks/discounts for the additional volume, and if there are complaints or bad attitudes from other customers, they'll take your side. That's especially important in the rare event that some other drunk-ass punter decides they don't like the look of one or more members of the soccer crowd.

Don't forget that there's UFC at the Sommet Center. Downtown. There are gonna be some WASTED fans looking to recreate the octagon on someone's ass.

Haig, I completely agree. When I saw the e-mail saying the BBB wanted to host us for the postgame, I was delighted because I know what it means to be wanted. We're all going to be loud, obnoxious, and singing, so I for one cast my vote for a place willing to put up with it.

Hehe. My pal Aaron is actually torn between going to one event or the other. That's Nashville for ya!

I've already let him know. What's funnier is he thinks the Soccer fans will be the wilder fans. Funniest thing is: He's right. :D
