Will Carrick stay if West Ham aren't back in the topflight next year?

well if he continues to play like he did today, and we go a bit further in the cup, than jackassSvenjollyericjackass would have to pick him for portugal. Well he wouldn't have to, but he should.

Of course he'll say "you need to be playing at the highest level", but damn he picked apart Fulham today and they aren't a bad side.

So if we don't go up straight away, which I now think we will go up, he's off to Newcash.

From what ive heard we will need to raise in the region of £15m this summer, regardless of promotion or not.

In the summer expect to see most, if not all of the following depart should be not be in the Prem for the 04/05 season:

Carrick
Hutch - he's off regardless
Repka
Lomas
Brevitt - doubt he'll play for us again anyway..

These are the last remaining big earners on the books, and another season in the first is unsustainable with players like this on big wages.

Despite massive sales and wage savings, we still are teetering on the brink of administration.

PS - it was a cracking performance by the team on saturday, and we deserved to win the game. EvDS was on top form and needed to be. Carrick, Etherington and Connolly were awesome, and every other player performed well.

If we don't go up, Carrick is gone. But if he continues to play like he did on Saturday - we may skip the playoffs and take the automatic promotion spots.

:D
