Nah probably a 13 or 14 seed.

I gather that this is more of an NBA thread than college thread, but it's nevertheless the best place on this forum for me to lament the death of Kentucky's NCAA tournament streak.
NIT here we come . . .

Anyone see the Syracuse and UConn game? It went to 6 OT's at the Garden. And now Syracuse plays again tonight.

I am so pumped after Championship week!
Some epic games all topped off by analysis of Selection Sunday...
I will be in Minneapolis, MN to watch Michigan State v. Robert Morris, Kansas v. UND, BC v. USC, and West Virginia v. Dayton U.
I am really excited to see these games in person!
LB, Duke=ACC Champs! :D

I think following NCAA sports is pointless when there is NBA around but I always participate in a bit of bracket-gambling at work...since I don't follow college sports, I don't have a clue who's good - last year I picked Duke to win it all, for crying out loud...I need some help with my brackets - is there a good website or a particular sports-writer with excellent tips so I can smoke those fools at work :D? I'll check ESPN and foxsports on my own...

I actually like NCAA sports better. Sure the professional sports usually have more athletic players, but it's all about watching good team play. Also, college players play with a lot more emotion.
As for brackets, don't pick Duke. I am a fan of Duke, and they don't have the team to make it past the Elite 8 at best this year. Go to ESPN.com and Yahoosports.

I find that college sports players are more passionate, these guys are playing for their school and their career(making it professional) Once they turn pro, they r just playin for the $$$

I also like college sports more because the atmosphere is similar to European soccer. Both the players and fans are passionate about their teams.

Dook? DOOK?!? Good God, Dakota, what on earth is wrong with you?
I'm watching my 'Horns against Minnesota today. We've got some decent talent but it's been a very frustrating year. So damn inconsistent. I actually picked us to lose to the Gophers but we're playing decent so far.
I got Louisville winning it all. Jerry Smith, one of their players, went to my high school (along with Devin Harris) so I gotta rep 'em. Saw his first high school game ever when he dropped like 25 as a freshman, dunking on everyone.

Just got back from the Minneapolis regionals. NDSU put up a good fight, and gave a good account of themselves, but Kansas' big man (Aldrich) was just too much for them. Ben Woodside and Sharron Collins both had great games.
The best game was the Michigan St.- USC game in the second round. Went right down to the final minute. I thought Tom Izzo was going to have a heart attack.
Well, now it's back to the old grindstone that is BigSoccer. :)

The street rumor is that the FEDEX COB is the bankroll.

Well, if one was trying to find reasons why they might get away with that sort of thing, you could find them in Memphis.
* It's a second-tier city away from any major national TV or newspaper coverage.
* They're in an oft-ignored conference (C-USA) that seems to accept personnel with previous NCAA violations (Bob Huggins).
* They've got a coach known for his man management skills with high-profile athletes and NY/NJ connections to top prospects. Plus, he's got pro-connections from his time with the Nets.
Hmmm... ;)
A lot of comparisons to UNLV could be made.

Plus, it's frickin Memphis...

I can't wait for Thursday and Friday. Those are my rest days, as today and the next two days were/are filled for sandbagging to prevent flooding of Fargo, ND. School has been canceled...not a good situation.

No need to link to an entry about general crime in Memphis when you could just cite Dana Kirk's wiki page. That guy not only committed several NCAA violations that led to Memphis's 1985 Final Four appearance being vacated, but he also managed to get indicted by the feds.
But, as a Kentucky fan, I can't really ridicule other programs that cheated in the 80s. Glass houses and all that.
