Nowak, himself, was the victim of his own rules at last night's team dinner. As he addressed the players after the meal, his own cell phone rang out. The punishment: $10 and his place at the business end of a variety of jokes by those in attendance.

Ok. No cell phones and new locker room "etiquette". Wonder what other rules have been put in place? Sounds like everyone is good-natured about it though. Seems like Mr. Nowak is definately in charge and providing good leadership. You go Piotr! This team was crying out for some organization.

Although the changes are only cosmetic for now we will see if it translates to the field. Obviously any discipline/rules would be a big change from the Hudson regime.
Lot more mention of runs, weight training and conditioning than I remember under Hudson. If these guys are fitter they won't be as injured.

Other rules: Tidy dressing stalls Soiled equipment placed neatly into laundry bins (i.e., not balled up, in the correct bin, etc.) Respect for the whole organization, down to the equipment manager, and the Jaime Moreno rule, no ping-pong while on the "injury" list. ;)I am glad to see such discipline, especially since Piotr discussed all the rules with the veteran players before they had to report. We've got a 'do as I do' leader rather than a 'do as I say' leader. It's all good; it gives team-mates another thing to share in common interest.
Hopefully, Piotr's leadership will translate to on-field success.

What's a "team walk?" Do they hold hands and talk about their feelings?

It's probably just an alternate jog and stretch type of deal.

I remember reading that every morning the team goes for a jog together, and every evening they go for a walk together.

Keeps the muscles loose at the end of the day and builds team unity.

It's developing a sense of comma-wadewee, which was bwoken under coach Way Hudson.

Then they get into their jammies and have pillow fights until someones top comes off and then they have a massive orgy. . . Sorry, I shouldn't watch porn while posting to these boards.

I agree-he's already breaking his OWN rules-hypocrite. And stupid rules at that-cell phone usage? Team walk? It's clear, after 2 preseason losses, it is time to fire this guy! Whatever new system he's trying to implement, it is clear now-ALREADY it is just plain NOT WORKING! And the season hasn't even started yet! ;)
(for the few, ;) means I am joking)
