Join the all the Barra Brothers and Sisters (and our friends from the Eagles, La Norte, the Choir, DCU and BigSoccer) for some preseason fun.

Enjoy a fabulous bar-b-que brought to you by the legendary tandem of Fatbastard and the Grillmaster himself.

2004 Memberships will be on sale and members of the Barra leadership will discuss plans for the 2004 season.

As you all know, this is going to be a historical year for United and the Barra. Get your year started early.

The party will start about 4:30 just like our usual tailgate start time.

actually i don't, but there are some guys with loud ATVs that drive my dogs nuts who ride in the fields and woods next to us.

i don't know if they are in town or not, the preseason schedule is pretty crazy--florida, jalisco, south carolina--the invitation has been extended to the entire club--players, staff, management--and i hope some folks stop by, but i don't know if the players are even here. even if they are, i'd imagine they have so little time at home they are probably not looking for a dcu related event.

i know all of us in the barra want to thank the staff for all their help. i have heard from some of the staff guys that they would stop by.

From what I hear, the inside poop is that there will be no open practice or meet the coach night this year, so this is a great opportunity to get together and talk a little futbol, drink a little beer, eat a little food and have ALOT of fun. Hope everyone on BigSoccer can make it.

Time to put in your choices for cerveza too.
Top two front runners so far are Fosters and DOS XX. Maybe Newcastle or Shiner Bock but something around the $100 range. There will also be plenty of "good" hard stuff for the weightwatchers as well.

We're sticking with a beer in that range so don't go babbling about some micro beer brewed by monks or fortified with hemp.

Several folks have asked about donations for the party. Chico will be collecting donations at the BigSoccer happy hour on the 20th. We have already commitments from the membership and some individual members for some basic food and a keg but we want to really set a great tone for the season and do it up right. The more we can raise, the better the party!

Rob, if you need extra table space, I have that 8' fold up table. Unfortunately it won't fit in the Geo. ;)
