2 Steps Backward for Adelphia Cable

I used to enjoy the Champions League games on ESPN - GONE! Adelphia cable in my area doesn't offer ESPN Deportes.

I called today to try to get Direct Kick from my local Adelphia affliate - NOT AVAILABLE.

Is it too early to panic about Direct Kick?

Contrary to earlier speculation, ESPN2 will continue to show 1 CL game per match day, at least for the rest of this season.

Why does www.soccertv.com only list ESPN Deportes for the CL games? Where can I find out what games ESPN2 will broadcast?

I think the CL matches listed under ESPN Deportes are re-runs. I don't remember when will the next matchday.

Yes, Adelphia screws this up every year. It's pulling teeth to get the MLS package but the Adelphia people on the board usually figure it out eventually.

Adelphia is the worst. I miss my old, small town cable provider.

I spoke to Mark Bushman, who hosts "This Week In Soccer" on the Adelphia outlet in Fredericksburg (and he also told me the show is expanding to Loudon and a few other counties as well), and he told me Adelphia WILL carry Direct Kick. They carry the package every year, but apparently a lot of the customer service people have no idea what it is. Closer to the season, you should be able to order it.

Not sure why they can't get their people trained better...

I sent an e-mail asking about Direct Kick on the adelphia.net website. It was returned as undeliverable.

I'll keep calling, I guess.

I see the Champions League listings on espn.com, too.
