Rumors of an 18m euro offer with 2m depending on performances sent to Real by Stuttgart. If you get Ba for 12m then add another midfielder, it would be a good improvement over the summer for you guys imo.
If you are, I have to say, dude, put down the crack pipe. Huntelaar is very good, but better than Benzema, I think not!
Agreed, Benzema has scored a hell lot of goals in the French league which is much better than the Dutch league as well as being a more complete player. There isn't a huge difference in quality but if Benz improves, there will be in the future.

You actually mean to say that how the game is actually played in each league might not mean something? Are you sure you really want to say that???
No. I was saying the stat may or may not mean something. Not that the styles of the leagues may not. Go back and read it. You were shouting about something you misunderstood.

Ralf Rangnick said on a press conference that a decision regarding Ba has to be reached by Thursday, otherwise Hoffenheim would make the decision.
To me, this means that Hoffenheim has given Stuttgart a clear ultimatum regarding Ba: "Buy him by Thursday of piss off."
In any case, I think we will know a lot more about our team for next season by the end of the week.
After hearing the news that Stuttgart would pay 20 M € for Huntelaar - I am still waiting for Ba giving in his veto for the transfer. Like Schinde said, that player has made a 180* turn a round in the last weeks...

ESPN writers seem to think Man Utd are after Huntelaar, which wouldn't be good for us, but here's hoping he likes playing time more than glamor and money.

I think ManU will try to get Eto'o...but if they're really after Huntelaar, we're fcuked...no way we can compete with them...

I haven't seen anything significant about their interest in the way of quotes. After they have gotten Owen, I think they'd only be after somebody of absolute top shelf caliber, like Eto'o. Nobody on ESPN knows a thing about VfB, so who else can they put in the new blurb other than ManU? They figure ManU is the only club looking at him. I'm not worried about this yet.

They don't need a striker and they can't play the 4-3-3 they had since both Ronaldo and Tevez left. That probably means a traditional 4-4-2 with 2 strikers. Considering Berbatov will stay and Rooney always starts, that means Owen is bought as back-up and one of the two youngsters will stay for depth. I don't see any logic whatsoever of getting another quality striker for United, it's the wings they should worry about imo if not another DM since Hargreaves is never fit (LOL 25m euros).

I just went to Huntelaars official web site and also checked out his guestbook...lots of Stuttgart fans there begging him to come. It's kinda embarrassing really. But the worst post came from a Dortmund fan, and I'm not kidding here, this is literally what he wrote:
You can come ablösefrei auch to Dortmund. We play auch nen schönen football. You must dann aber for weniger money spielen. ;)
Somehow I'm afraid that this wasn't a joke...:D

Yeah, that's why I wrote that it was only ESPN writers that are linking them. I haven't seen anything anywhere else. I think it's just English media assuming they want to buy someone. They don't need Huntelaar.

Lol, yeah, getting €25m for him really was a good deal...English players are so overpriced, it's unbelievable...

It wasn't. And it wasn't me! :D
Quite a few publications are reporting that Real and VfB have agreed on a 20M transfer fee and VfB just needs to settle personal terms with Huntelaar.

Today is judgement day.
Ba is going for another check up and afterwards a decision needs to be made on him. At the end of today we will either have bought Ba, or he'll be out of the question. And if he's out of the question, that could mean a Huntelaar move is very, very close. Next 24 hours will solve a lot.
Some people even reporting that everything has been agreed. But I think we've agreed with Real Madrid, but not yet entirely with Huntelaar himself. Let's all just keep our fingers crossed.

That's what all the reports I've seen say. That you guys have agreed to pay them 20M for Huntelaar, but still need to agree with him on personal terms.

I've never followed transfer news minute-to-minute like this one.
Hoffenheim want to know today, Real I think want to sell today. I think by this evening we will have bought either Huntelaar or Ba. I hope it'll be Huntelaar.
I need to go do some chores now, hopefully i'll get back online in 2 hours to some good news.

'Marca' now reporting very confidently that Huntelaar will sign for us. But our side continues to deny anything.
Perhaps everything's official tonight, at the very least we should know the situation based on what happens with Ba.
The wait continues...

Well, I think 20M is a bit too much, but if Huntelaar can come in and live up to his hype, you guys will have gotten a very good deal indeed.
Good luck!!

To pass the waiting time... we had our third friendly of the season yesterday, this time against FC 07 Albstadt.
We were able to win the game 5-0, here's the team that played:
Stolz (46. Ulreich) - Träsch (46. Osorio), Tasci (46. Boulahrouz), Niedermeier (46. Delpierre), Celozzi (46. Magnin) - Hilbert (46. Gebhart), Hitzlsperger (46. Elson), Lanig (46. Schwarz), Rudy (46. Simak) - Schieber (46. Riedle), Marica (46. Bastürk)
Goals came from Hilbert, Basturk, Gebhart, Elson and Simak.
so Simak scored again, and it was a wonderful goal, a beauty chip over the keeper. Incidentally it was almost a copy of Basturk's goal, who also scored a beauty chip after come good work by Riedle. I'm happy for Basturk, if he stays with us, as it appears will be the case, then it's important that he gets some confidence over this summer period. Basturk also had a nice assist for Elson's tap-in goal. Hilbert's was also a tap in while Gebhart's was a nice finish after beating his defender.
