Also, can I say something about the Agent Uli Ferber.
He is the agent of Gomez, Hleb and Tasci.
- He was behind Gomez's move to Bayern.
- He said he could see Hleb returning, but obviously he didn't try to hard to convince his star in the end.
- He says he'd like to see Tasci stay for 1-2 years, whilst Juve are looking more and more intently.
And through all this he says he's a VfB fan.
Well, I don't care, as far as i'm concerned this guy should get a Hausverbot from all of Wurttemberg and never be allowed within a 400km radius of any VfB player ever again.
Ferber might be a VfB fan, but his job is to look out for his clients, not VfB.

In which case he shouldn't associate himself with the club, right?
Either way I don't REALLY care about him, guy's just an agent, albeit one I have no trust in.

Stuttgartfan, be patient. The summer transfers have just started! ;) Don't look at Real "going into debt" Madrid. If the summer ends with what you described, I would understand your frustration. However, just wait it out a bit. A striker and a midfielder/full-back is definitely needed for your team imo, if not all 3 positions. Also to keep Tasci.

No, you are not right. He can be a fan of the club and effectively do his job even when that means he can't help Stuttgart.
It was the same with me when I wrote. I had to write horrible things about Borussia Dortmund, but it didn't make me any less of a fan.
How much of a "fan" you are, I guess depends on your maturity level.
You can love a club, but when you have a job to do, you have a job to do.

And I'm sure he doesn't give a shit about what you think of him either. It isn't his fault his client doesn't want to return to Stuttgart.

Wow, not to be happy about others misfortune, but suddenly our failure to get Helmes looks much better 'cause he's now gotten a Kreuzbandriss. Poor guy :( wish him a speedy recovery!

Latest stuff:
- Jovanovic could be on his way in the coming days. There has been a deal between us and Standard Liege and now the management is negotiating the contract with the player. Apparently they are still kinda far from reaching an agreeement, but it still seems like a 75% chance or so that Jovanovic will sign for us. I sure hope so, we'd have a key starter with him.
- Ba is still in the picture but we have made no offer. Heldt also said he wouldn't want to ruin the 'good relationship' between the two clubs, pointing out the close geographic proximity an the large number of Hoffenheim members with a past at VfB (Timo0o0o0o0o, Beck, Weis, Rangnick, etc.)
- Heldt has dismissed Pantelic as not being in the picture. Everyone breathe a sigh of relief.
- Heldt has said he will not sell Tasci to Juve. Tasci is in the side's plans for next season and Heldt thinks there's a good chance we'll be able to extend his contract. I sure hope so.
- Heldt also said that the door is open to Hleb to return at any time. He said they are disappointed that he has chosen not to come to us now, but that he will pretty much be a VfB target for the rest of his career. I still hope to see him in our shirts again one day, just a shame it won't be in August, as this was a time where we really could've used him.

I'm not interested in getting Hleb on a Bastürk deal, i.e. where he is washed up and just sits around collecting a check, which is exactly what would happen if we had to wait another couple years. I want Hleb right now or never.
Are we not going after Gignac at all? The guy scored plenty of goals in an offensively boring league for a bad team and is still only 23 years old or so. Why aren't we pressing hard for this guy?

I follow the French league and Gignac has said that he's happy at Toulouse and wants to stay there for the time being and also they are not a bad team they finished 4th and qualified for the Europa League so get your facts straight, man.

My bad. I was thinking they had finished much lower than that.

Well, I apparently we are interested in Pavlyuchenko now. Don't know how I feel about that. Talented player, but would probably cost us more than I think he is really worth. I just saw the rumor on the ticker at the bottom of the tv while watching the news.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/tottenham/5538892/Tottenham-striker-Roman-Pavlyuchenko-a-target-for-Stuttgart.html

Second one also mentions making a concrete offer for Ba. If they can get the Russian for the rumored 11 million €, maybe worth taking a stab.

So, another day, more to add to the rumour mill:
- As you said, Pavlyuchenko is now on the list. Hit 14 goals in the season for Spurs last year, but only 5 of those in the Premiership. Redknapp is obviously not his biggest fan but I think in the Bundesliga he'd certainly be someone able to get into double digits in terms of scoring figures. Kicker and Stuttgarter Nachrichten have reported an interest in him as well.
- The Demba Ba story continues to drage on, he has AGAIN come out, this time to a French magazine, saying he wants to move to us. Stuttgarter Zeitung reports we would only be willing to pay around 14 million for him rather than the 16-19 million that was previously reported. We will see.
- Also, oddly enough after the Kreuzbandriss, Helmes's name has come up again. Everyone seems to have dropped him as a possibility after he came out saying he's happy at Leverkusen, but StZ speculates that with hs new long-term injury, Heldt may well may make a move for him as he would now come significantly cheaper and Leverkusen would prolly be more willing to sell. they are now looking for a replacement due to his longterm injury so they also need the money. I don't know how much there is behind this, but it sounds interesting to me. As I said earlier I really rate him, and at the age of 25 there are good odds he'd make a full recovery and by, say 2010 he could be playing again. It would be a very risky move, but if we got someone like Pavlyuchenko/Ba ALONG WITH him, then I think it would be a risk worth taking. But I doubt there's anything concrete behind this.
-About Jovanovic, Kicker have written: 'Eine Einigung steht kurz bevor' - an agreement seems close. Let's hope so, i'd be looking forward to our first good signing :)
- There is also a question over the rightback position. Osorio's future at the club is still uncertain and while traesch was convincing in the last months of this last season and will no doubt continue to improve, he could not be our only player on the rightside. A name that has crept up is Karlsruhe's young talen Stefano Celozzi. We'll see.

Yeah, it's an ACL. Could be missing the entire season, if not also the World Cup.
I think the Russian could be good for 15 goals, but how many strikers are we really going to sign? I want to hear us in connection with a fullback. Striker isn't the only position we to strengthen.

acl injuries take 6-7 months unless something really goes wrong post op.

Yeah, but things going wrong still isn't that uncommon, and even if his knee is technically healed, it could take him quite a bit of time on top of that until he is match fit and finds some form again.

And many athletes have said that it takes up to a year to feel "right" again.......

Yeah, once you lack confidence in any of your joints where a quick change of direction is key, you aren't going to be half the player you were before your injury. I say that as a guy who destroyed his ankle playing tennis at 18.

Today's rumours:
- Demba Ba has come out yet AGAIN saying he wants to join us, because of Champions League and because 'our system suits his style'. hoffenheim continue to dismiss the transfer though.
- If the Jovanovic deal were to not work out, which is still possible, Barnetta is still a contenders for the wings.
Then, an odd one:
according to spox, Arsenal are interested in Hitzlsperger and would be willing to pay about 6 million. I think that rumour is absolute crap, don't see that being the case at all. Not to mention 6 million is imo too little for Hitzlsperger anyway. But yeah, doesn't seem feasible.

Just to throw out more names: Today I read that Real Madrid wants to get rid of Huntelaar. He probably still won't be cheap and he probably wouldn't want to go to Stuttgart anyway, but hey, we should at least try to talk to him...
