Take your pick, or add someone I've overlooked.

That has to be one of the stupidest lists I've ever seen.

It has to be Friedel on BS if ony because of the vastly inflated opinion of him by some American posters.
In truth it is Owen in real life.

There is nobody on this list that's overrated, least of all Friedel. Owen is a known commodity who is struggling to return to fitness after a lengthy injury. Ferdinand's importance is validated by Utd's current defensive form without him. Cudicini was second to Freidel in the 2003 PFA voting, probably a more accurate barometer of a player than you'll get anywhere else. If I were to say anything, I'd select Mutu based on current form for missing those goals from within 10 yards at the weekend, but none of them are overrated by any means.

How can you say that Rio Ferdinand is overrated? Ever since he's been banned Man Utd's defence has gone back to the hiliarious days of the barthez and brown show. He's one of the best defenders in the world.
I only pick Rio out because it was the most stupid but all the players listed are top players and no way overrated.

Like toon said, Rio is not overrated. Since he's gone, Manchester has fallen like 6 points behind Arsenal, instead of the usual switching back and forth after every game.

I tell you what, Waygne Rooney is overrated. He shouldn't be in the England national team. Yes he scores goals...but only when he gets the service. He's not a great finisher, not a great creator...still a bit too young for playing for England.
England need a more creative striker who has many skills. Remember the name David Bentley for 2006 World Cup.

I can't even begin to count the number of times you've said that already.

He does have a rather unhealthy obsession.

i kind of agree with you about owen, he is very good, but his team play a defensive game and he is very often the lone striker...(much like Ruud, but Ruud is surrounded by higher quality)
my guess is because of owen's propensity to be a true hot and cold striker...
cudicini over rated??

My choice will have to be Dyer. He has shown flashes of brillance at times but could never seem to put it all together on a consistant basis. The worst thing is wasted talent and that is what Dyer has become , a potential that never was fullfilled.

After watching Chelsea play Arsenal in the FA Cup, I’d say Lampard. Vieira ran circles around him. He's not even in Gerrard's class, let alone Keano and Vieira.
