My family, The Hendersons were originaly from Glencoe, and though I'm American and never been to Scotland I'd love to support a team there. I'm assuming since Glencoe is in the Highlands it's a ways off from any teams? What's the closest one?

Glencoe is pretty far from any senior league side but Inverness Caledonian Thistle are the closest.

I support East Fife. I've read that the Hendersons originate from a few places in Scotland. From the Lowlands, around Dumfries, there's a lot in Fife and the Highland ones which are associated with the MacDonald and Gunn clans.

Hmm, I don't see East Fife in the SPL. Does Fife have an SPL team? I'd be able to watch some matches on TV if so.

Nope, no Fife teams in the SPL. The last Fife team to be in it were Dunfermline Athletic and they're the most likely to get back there any time soon.

Well, strictly speaking, your closest team would probably be Fort William - how do you feel about supporting a team in the Highland League? :D

I'm looking to support a SPL team, as they can bee seen here in the states.

It still isn't often that easy, but Hibs are really the only team worth support.

I thought Aberdeen supporters were the considered the bastard step-children of the SPL?

They are. Although Hibs have a bit of a rep as well.

Hibs fans have a little reputation around Scotland. Rangers rep goes around the world.

I said that about Aberdeen because Celtic and Rangers have each other...Hibs and Hearts have each other; then Aberdeen is out there...What about us?
