La Bomba Drops in DC!
DC's quiet off-season just exploded with possibility as the return of the prodigal forward, Jaime Moreno, seems likely.

Wow, this sounds as if it may happen. Regardless of the outcome of his DC United trial, I hope Moreno finds a place somewhere.

The most beautiful thing in my mind from this whole affair is Kevin rekindling the DC United tradition when he said that the club owed Jaime a shot. Pure class!

A motivated and fit Moreno would be a dream come true. He would be a phoenix arising from the ashes of two seasons.

If this wonderous bird appears, Quaranta is more likely to become an impact player. Tino idolized Jaime and his production declined similarly. One can fervently hope that a fit and rededicated Moreno would be a tremendously positive influence on Tino.

I wonder if Jaime has the humility necessary to have learned from his recent experiences? Against my better judgment I think he does.

I trust the players and coaches have given him a thorough disinfecting and have scoured him of sticky scum.

A successful Moreno requires a rehabilitation of body and soul -- a very tough thing to do. IF he has managed this near-miracle, THEN he must stay injury - free.

I trust Nowak to make the right decision. Here's hoping we'll be seeing Jaime at more Barra tailgates this year! :)

As a Galaxy fan, all I can say is I HOPE you waste time and cap space on Moreno in 2004. Thanks.

..because the Galaxy is a GREAT example of a team knowing how to treat forwards.

Ahh, yes, and they sure know how to find overpaid defenders too. ;)

Me too.

As long as Nowak is given full discretion and final say in this matter, then I don't see a problem with it.

Well, I certainly hope you all are correct. I just want to make sure we keep looking to the future and can't help but feel Jaime's prime just kicked him in the butt two years ago as he lumbered past.
Please show me I'm wrong. Jaime. I'll always remember that #9 shaved into the back of your head.
