I am and I am not.

I am a student with junior standing, but having switched majors I am now a freshman in the program that I have now started.

3 more years of school...

Also, it's not my fault I can only occasionally afford classy, good beer. Sometimes you have to take quantity over quality.

i have no link, but on sky sports news right now they are reporting that the kuwaiti investement group are in negotiations with gillicks about a takoever of lfc... the kuwaiti group says, though, that negotiations aren't going 'badly' as gillicks are asking 500 mil and they believe it's too high of a price...

i'll keep looking for a link if someone else breaks the story... it's not on the skysports website yet, either...

They sound silly, because they are not going to anywhere near that. A few bob more than the value of the debt, maybe. Everyone knows the banks have them by the short hairs and pretty soon they'll squirm.

Abdulla Al-Sager, one of the possible investors in the consortium headed by Kuwait's Al-Kharafi family, told Bloomberg: "Things are going really badly, because they are asking for too much.

"I don't think anything will happen unless we get a better price."

The consortium are now likely to play a waiting game until July when Hicks and Gillett have to see if they can refinance Liverpool's £300million ($A663.78million) debts.

If they cannot, then they may be forced to sell for a much lower price.

Liverpool have also been in talks about a sale with another investment group in the Middle East and one in the US. It is understood Hicks would ideally like to find an investment partner to buy Gillett's stake and allow him to remain in control.

The last paragraph........... do we really want him still around? :o

Just out of pure cantankerous bile I ask:what kind of mergers and acquisition guy negotiates in Bloomberg's?

Answer: a scuzzy type that would be no better than Gillicks
