Booked the Hyatt Regency Chicago on price line for $77 a night plus taxes. I named my own price and selected 3.5-4star in the Loop/Grant park area. Good price for downtown chicago. A block or so off the red line so transport from the airport will not be bad. See you guys in Chicago!!!

If you're on the cheap and just looking for a place to crash, check out this hostel:

http://www.hichicago.org/

$30 per nite :)

I stay @ this place everytime I visit Chitown. Love it! Right in the middle of the loop! It's a popular place to crash, so reservations are a good idea. Especially for weekend stays!
About a good 1.5 mile walk from the stadium, but you're righ off Michigan Ave. so catching a bus to get closer to the stadium is not a problem.

Any other places that are close to the stadium?

I just stayed there for 5 days for my org's annual conference. Location is great, ask for a room in the East Tower (they've recently been fully renovated, I ended up in the West and while the furniture was new the carpet and wall paper were not, room looked dingy). If there is a meeting there the elevators will be nightmare so add time to get around. Also, I didn't think anywhere but my gym had flimsy sandpaper-y towels but the ones here set a new standard (for a 4 star hotel it really was appalling). For the rate you're getting it's a real deal but I wouldn't spend $150 or up here.

I just booked the Marriott Chicago-Medical District for $60/night through Priceline. Looks like it is right off two "L" stops. 3 and a half stars. Looks like a good place to stay.

How did you find that cheap of a rate? I only get prices around $200.

I hadn't seen your post until now, but I booked the same deal a couple nights ago, so it is still available. Hopefully, there will be a good group of us at the hotel for the game. I even talked my wife into joining me for this one, although the real price of her ticket may be impacted by the proximity of the hotel to Michigan Ave shopping!

Hmm, I just did the $77 request at priceline and they gave me the Hotel Blake, for Friday and Saturday nights. The original poster said he picked 3.5-4 star range, I couldn't figure out how to pick both so I selected 3.5 stars. The hotel is further south, but within walking distance of Soldier Field and near the metro trains. Still a good price, I'm happy.

Anyone looking to put a Boston AO couple up for a few nights in Chicago?

The deal at the Hyatt has gone up to $99 (at least that what another DC AO person had happen). That's still a good rate for this hotel and location but don't wait too long.

You sure? I did it this morning for $77 for June 5 and June 6 and got it. Only selected 4 star as option. Anyway, bringing my wife for this one so may have to lay off the hand of justice! See ya in less than two months.

When you guys are getting Hyatt on priceline, do you get a room with two double beds, 1 king bed, or do you even know?

Priceline automatically puts you in a 1-bed room, but you can very easily call the hotel directly and request a double-bedded room, non-smoking, etc. I did that and had no problems at all.

I've PRicelined that hotel about 3 times, and each time I got a king bed.
