Goff is reporting that DC may be playing Maryland this Sunday in College Park. Are we going to be able to get a nice contingent out for this game. I live down the street, so I'm certainly in!

I really hope that they get this done, although I'm not quite sure how helpful it will be. Maryland's roster just got decimated by the MLS draft. However, I'm just a few miles from the campus, so I can't imagine not going if it's open to the public. Any opportunity to see the team live in this area is one that I couldn't pass up.

wish I could, but it is daughters 1st birthday so it is doubtful. Unless I can convince the wife to take the whole family. Assuming it is free that is.

are there tailgate opportunities in college park?

This is kind of hard to believe, I thought the NCAA had rules that would keep this sort of thing from happening.

Who are you racing? Bike or on foot?:D There is only one kind of race ......... NASCAR
My drive to and from CP takes about the same time as the 427-mile race will take ;)
are there tailgate opportunities in college park?I have grilled up brats there in the parking lot. It's a college campus, so oddly enough you need to be careful displaying beer (this is why god makes both red and black solo cups).
Lots of folks are more regular visitors than I am, I've been there twice, but I grilled both times and never had an issue.

Is the Pope Catholic? Just use a party cup.

Oh for Pete's sakes.
Look, I'll tell you right now how the race will go so you don't have to watch: a bunch of southerners will drive around in a circle a whole bunch of times; occasionally some of them will bump into each other, causing lost time or possibly needing to leave the race; in the end, a Hendrick car will win.
(repeat as necessary over the racing season)

A guy from Wis-********ing-consin has won both races this year :) Different folks from California finished second in each.
At least there's no diving in NASCAR ;) Backflips, occasionally.

I am amused, and saddened, that people in the thread are more worried about tailgating than the fact that DC United might actually play a game in town this weekend.
Priorities, people.

I'll likely be there if they pull this off.
BTW: Sebring and the ALMS kicks NASCAR's ass - now and forever.
