Plan cellular...cual es el mejor?

pls post here the plan and cost after taxes on a monthly basis that digs your wallet


I had nextel for 4 yrs, but the bastards are too expensive if you exede the minutes plan.

89.90 was the best they offered with unlimited radio and 700 minutes (peak time), on a shared plan, with 3 other friends....in total we had 2100 minutes for the 3 of us.... 2yrs plan!
then dropped to 200 minutes shared or 600 for 3 of us, with unlimited radio and 1000 free on weekends/nites - is CRAP!

WITH THE wife we had sprint for 60.00 a month and 1000 minutes day time, 2000 weekends and nites included, I never reach 700 minutes day time anyway.... I liked....

Cingullar is pretty good...check them out and see what they have, they keep coming out with newer/cheaper plans by the minute it seems...LOL.
I got Verizon kinda expensive tho, 4 phones on it for like 110.00 with 1000 minutes or something like that, free weekends and nights...

We have three people, me, the wife and my sister on a Family plan on T-Mobile. We pay about $110 a month with 1,200 shared minutes, free weekends, 50 free text messages, and free minutes calling each other (t-mobile to T-mobile). We had started with Aieral (totally hated), they were bought by Voicestream (sort of hated) and now, without switching companied, we have T-Mobile. T-Mobile is treating us well.

I am too lazy to look for other plans. My sister is 17 years old and talks for ever with her boyfriend, and when we go over the minutes, it is really expensive. Seems the same everywhere, no?

t-mobile..... (I heard from other friend how good they are) 1200 shared minutes fro 3phs for $110.oo including taxes?

what about that deal that collects unused minutes month to month......? anyone has the cost and rules or limits?

Sprint still ok.......59.00 incl taxes for 1000 minutes peak time - ONE phone only plan.

Cingullar has good cheap plans, but after I'm done with this god-awful company, I'm heading towards Verizon.

In terms of the cheapest, then you go with Cingular. The network for T-Mobile around here is really limited. Sometimes I don't even get service in my room. It's coming down to AT&T and Verizon for me.


I'm a 1 phone plan. My Sony Ericcson phone was free if I agreed to pay 60 dollars a month for 600 minutes, free nights and weekends etc. I added unlimited text msgs because when your in class, text messages are your best friend.

Here in pittsburgh - I have the option of the wonderful Cricket company for $50/mth I have unlimited local area minutes & 500 Anywhere USA minutes....

It's not $30 or anything like that but I like it, cause i don't have to watch my minutes or wait like a zombie till 9pm to make my calls.... and after hearing crazy over$300 bills for ppl going over thier minutes i thought it was a good way to go...

The signals go down during "Busy weekend time" Thu-fri-sat nights from 8-11pm... but other than that... its not bad...

I've got Verizon. I pay 40 a month for 400 mins. Free nights and weekends. Nationwide calling/no roaming.

I'm glad to say that I don't need a cell phone... FREEDOM!

Now kids, if you want to know about good deals with Verizon, you can PM soccernutter and ask him, he is working for them and knows about the pros and cons of each plan, costs, roaming and all that jazz. He might even know what company would fit best for your needs if it's not Verizon (my impression for what I've heard is that Verizon is the best service to get if you talk a lot, if you don't then it's expensive).

Cheapest: Tmobile and Cingular. In the USA, Cingular has the larger network. T mobile say they give u free roaming, in reality it will not work in the roaming areas, that's why it is free.

IF you plan on doing some traveling here in the USA, or plan on not leaving the country, stick with either Verizon or Sprint. Both Companies use the same network (analog/digital). THey may cost alittle more then Tmobile, but u will get a network that is 25% larger then that of Cingular and AT&T (Alittle less then 35 percent larger then Tmobile). If you go Sprint, buy a Sanyo(brand of the year) phone. Samsung make nice phones, but they suck reception wise. If you go with VErizon, only buy Motorola or LG (LG sucks in appearance and durability, but good reception).

If you do heavy traveling outside the USA, then Sprint and Verizon would be bad choices. The global network is similar to that of soccer; played everywhere but in the USA. The network used around the world is TDMA/GSM, here in the USA, it's CDMA/Digital & Analog. GSM is definantly the wave of the future. Although GSM is extremly small here in this country, it's used all over the world, especially latin america.

T-mobile sucks in the USA, but they rule the rest of the world. Cingular is the next big Giant, as the GSM network is growing very fast. Verizon and Sprint, though with the larger network here in the USA, will be gone with in 12 years (Unless they can convince the rest of the world to use CDMA).
