Well.

This is an important match to the rest of our season. Real Madrid will surely come at us strong and hard and look to score 2+ goals, because they know how hard it is to come to Anfield on European nights and get a result. Rafa will look to play really tight and hit them on the counter.

I am thinking that we will see a 1-1 draw.

Could we see a 3-5-2?

It's either this.

------------------------Reina---------------------------
---------Carragher----Skrtel-----Agger---------------
Arbeloa-----------------------------------------Aurelio
-------------Mascherano-------Alonso-----------------
------------------------Gerrard-------------------------
-----------------Kuyt-----------Torres-----------------

or this

-------------------------Reina--------------------------
Arbeloa--------Skrtel---------Carragher------Aurelio
-------------Mascherano------Alonso------------------
Benayoun-------------Gerrard-------------------Riera
--------------------------Torres------------------------

I think your first formation leaves the flanks too exposed Dakota. I don't think Rafa will change much- and expect to see the second formation, depending on Gerrard's fitness obviously! ;)

Oh yeah- and Kuyt will start- he still has those naked pics of Rafa he didn't want to share with Keano & Agger- the ones he bought off Lucas! ;)

I heard Crouch and Pennant conspired to get their hands on those photos but to no prevail!

Apparantely Babel pinched a couple from Lucas also, though he too is unwilling to share! ;)

I'm in. DVR or live will be a game day decision as work is quite busy.

I hope we have Xabi and SG in the middle with Mash. Riera and Kuyt. Torres up front. Arbs, aurelio, Carra and Skirt I expect.

I really wish Benayoun would get the start. Not because Kuyt is playing way below average, but because Benayoun is playing really well as of late.

And he's probably our most creative at present...

two teams in semi opposite directions. Real - on fire, having won 9 straight games is it? Liverpool with its continued maddening and indifferent form since the new years (or as the media will say - since Rafa's Rant).

This is your Liverpool lineup if Gerrard can go:

Reina
Arbs--Carra--Skrt--Aurelio
Alonso--Masch
Kuyt--Gerrard---Riera
Torres

and if Gerrard can't start:

Reina
Arbs--Carra--Skrt--Aurelio
Kuyt--Alonso--Masch--Riera
Yossi
Torres

Fernando Gago vs Alonso should be interesting. Diarra vs Mash. WAtch out for Gonzalo Higuain, he's too deadly.

Anyone (Real Madrid supporter or Real Madrid wise Liverpool supporter) know how Real Madrid is going to play formation/player selection?

I just don't keep up to date with La Liga, so I don't know what players they have available (suspensions, injuries, etc) and/or whose in form/favored by Ramos.

Thanks.

I am very much looking forward to these two legs. Especially since our domestic title challenge is pretty much over.

In...cant wait for a really good atmosphere in Madrid given that these days the Anfield Premier League crowd seems very strange/fickle/up and down.

This is what i think we will see if Gerrard is fit...if he isnt, then Riera on the left and Yossi in behind Torres.

Reina
Arbs Carra Skrtel Aurelio
Alonso Masch
Kuyt Gerrard Yossi
Torres

Subs: Cav, Agger, Dossena, Lucas, Riera, Babel, Ngog

This is big! Make or break i feel and a chance to show the other teams what Liverpool are all about.

On our day we can match anyone and the best teams out there know this - we just have to take it on the same as we did with Barca, Chelsea etc

Hmm.. We need this!
