tryouts are monday the 23rd, what can i do in two weeks that will prepare me the most. i'm a sophomore trying out for varsity (Virginia state runners-up last year). everything has to be indoor as there's snow on all the pitches, and it's slippery on the track. rite now besides weight lifting i'm just dribbling my miniball around the house. any suggestions?

what i would do is to watch as many pro games as i can, because i am a freshman and started varsity and varsity is a lot more tactical than you think it really is. sound to me that you doing as much as you can

Juggle. Find a garage, an empty corner of the gym and just juggle a full-sized soccer ball. It will help your coordination and ball control more than I can possibly describe.

work with a tennis ball and then after a while go back to a normal soccer ball, but try moves with the tennis balls, juggle (very hard with a tennis ball), and do waht you would normally do

i'm more concerned with my fitness level than my ball skills atm, as that is what the coach usually tests the first 3 days of tryouts. what can get me in the best shape in so little time? thanks for the above responses :) im using all of em

If tryouts are just two weeks away, there isn't much you can do for fitness, unfortunately. If you were serious about making the team, you should have been fitness training weeks ago. You could try doing sprints every day with a couple of distance runs thrown in once or twice a week, but all that will really give you in two weeks is the ability to get through two-a-days without puking.

If you are trying to get in shape, you should have started conditioning a week or two ago. Here (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=92673) is a thread containing advice on conditioning. I posted a three week conditioning program on that thread. It is the last post. However, it will be difficult to use that program if you do not have access to your school's track or soccer fields.

im still weak w/ ball control,
i never understood why juggling helps your control interms of reciveing the ball and/or making one vs. one
moves...

and should i really practice w/ a smaller ball?
