Alianza has been a poor club for the past ten years. Even though i think Pohl has made things worse, it's not like things have only recently started to go down hill. I mean there only good season was during 01/02, when they finished first after in the accumulated table after both the Apertura and Clausura seasons. Apart from that, they've been pretty poor for a big club.

Just take a look at their standings:

98/99: 5th
99/00: 3rd
00/01: 7th
01/02: 1st
02/03: 7th
03/04: 4th
04/05: 6th
05/06: 8th
06/07: 8th
07/08: 6th

This season, unless there is some king of miracle, they they'll struggle to finish in the top seven.

Currently, this is how the accumulated table is looking:

I'd actually like them to stay up, but hopefully they do it on merit and not because they pay someone off to keep them in the division.

Ya no iba a escribir del Alianza porque don Lisandro Pohl se enoja, pero mis amigos, compañeros y conocidos me lo pidieron.

El ginecólogo de mi esposa es más aliancista que el Alianza; un día de estos me lo encontré y me dijo: Siempre lo leo... ahh, y mire, escriba de que se están paseando en el Alianza. El Power, aficionado albo que lava los carros de los empleados del Grupo Dutriz, me dijo: Con esos cuatro dólares de solón mejor me compro un par y las disfruto en la casa.

En EL GRÁFICO, quizá el 25 por ciento de la redacción llora por el Alianza (redactores, fotógrafos y diseñadores) y todos señalan a los mismos personajes como culpables de la crisis. Muchos piden que vuelvan los Padilla, pero la Ultra no los quiere (por cierto, no he visto una sola pancarta contra la actual administración).

A todos los personajes anteriores y a todos los que me voy a encontrar de aquí hasta el descenso del Alianza les digo:

1. Ahorren para comprar la categoría del Nejapa o del Balboa, o del equipo de la segunda que ascienda; total, así hizo el Alianza hace 50 años, compró la categoría a un colón...

2. Si la Ultra está silenciada, este es un país de libertades o así nos lo dice la televisión y la radio, cualquiera puede exigir la renuncia de don Lisandro en preferente, sombra, tribuna, platea o en el palco de la felicidad; claro, sin ofender...

3. Ricardo Padilla me dijo que agarraba el Alianza si se lo daban, pero sería la última opción...

4. Que los seleccionados no jueguen, total siempre los expulsan o salen lesionados...

5. Don Lisandro debe comenzar a engramar la Jorgito Meléndez; digo, por si quiere seguir de necio en el equipo.

El miércoles contra el Isidro Metapán, otra derrota segura del Alianza y en el Cuscatlán.

Preocupación por licencias de clubes: HAHA se estan ca*ando los directivos ratoneros....:)
FIFA hará exigencias a partir de 2010 para otorgar el derecho de participación de los clubes en cada uno de los torneos.

Entre las peticiones que ha elaborado para tener derecho a participar están que los clubes deben poseer sus niveles de categorías inferiores y la certificación del estadio y de otras instalaciones de entrenamiento

fifa needs to force liga mayor clubs to have inferiores and to build nice stadiums. We need a lot better stadiums in El Salvador, im serious!

I think they try but as one the top teams of the league for long time , you have to have success or improvements each year.

Alianza has not provided that consistence.

Vista hermosa has sacked coach Victor coreas and hired Armando contreas palma (he was the coach of el salvador during 2006 world cup qualifiers and has achieved championships with atletico marte)
Nejapa since hiring nelson ancheta has been playing outstanding (their been the suprise package)
Alianza have struggled with 2 draws (they need victory badly if they wanna avoid relegation)
Metapan continue to dominate the competition

Metapan is making a difference in la mayor. Kind of cool for the little guys. The big guys are sleeping nowdays. Aguila is done since they let castillo go and idk whats up with las gatas.
