Form so far this season

I just wanted to have a quick look at our form so far this season. I'm referring to the league placings of teams as they stand at 5pm 21/2/09

0 Wins 0 Draws 11 Losses

Record minus top 7 (Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Everton, Wigan)

9 wins 3 draws 2 losses

Looks very good to me, especially given that our run in for the rest of the season sees us play teams in the present top 7 just three more times. That leaves us with nine games against teams who we've done very well against so far this season.

Sad though - one of the things that made me a trotter back when I was picking a team was our ability to give the bigger clubs fits under Big Sam. The worst thing about the Megson Era for mine has been the autocapitulation to our 'betters' at home or away.

Yes, but he does have the number of the teams around and below us which I see as more valuable. Under Megson we put the lesser teams to the sword which is something we didn't do too often under Allardyce.

Look at it this way would you prefer to draw with Arsenal and Spurs or lose to Arsenal and beat Spurs?

Yes, it wound the Arsenal fans up almost as much as we wind Wet Spam fans up :D
