The next round of UEFA Cup matches are on Dish Network for $19.95 a match.I wonder if this means the end of UEFA Cup on GOL TV and FSW?

It's the end of LIVE UEFA cup matches, but FSW gets the games on a delay......I don't know about GOL.

I got the weekly update from SoccerTV today and it said GolTV's UEFA Cup matchups were "TBA". Based on this I'd say they still will be showing them live.
This is one for our good buddy, Oliver, to answer.

Worry not. After building buzz and an audience as the new home o fthe UEFA Cup, GolTV, we won't abandon it. It seems we will have some of the UEFA Cup games on Gol TV and others on Dish (PPV). It should be decided soon, but we should be showing Panathinaikos, Newcastle, Gaziantespor among others. You may see the teams you want, but the question is whether you will see it on GolTV or a PPV.

That's good news. Although Setanta still has the biggest games other than Barcelona (FSW)- those of Celtic and Liverpool. Plus they have the final. But having Newcastle should be nice.

Another thing, Constantino from Gol TV will have the last word on this subject of which games will be on Gol TV and which on Dish PPV

Dish network is offering Roma-Gaziantepsor and Auxerre-Panathinaikos.So it must be decided or they wouldn't be selling it.Is this Gol TV getting into the ppv business or a Setanta offering?I would hope gOL tv never goes the ppv route.

GolTV will be showing
Vålerenga x Newcastle
Olympique Marseille x Dnipro
both the home and away games. If there's some overlap between both matches playing times, we'll show one LIVE and the other immediatly following the first one. If it's possible, both will be shown LIVE.
Hope it helps.

Thanks, Constantino! You guys rock. It's nice to be able to see UEFA Cup live and more than one match, too. Thanks again.

Setanta sublicensed those two games to DISH for PPV distribution.
Setanta holds US and Canadian TV rights to UEFA Cup games marketed by SportFive, which controls the rights to over 80% of UEFA Cup matches.
Both Gol TV and DISH have sublicensing deals with Setanta.
FOX Sports Int'l have deals for UEFA Cup games with Octagon CSI (Man City) and Media Pro (Barcelona).
