World Draft 2009 Sign-up Thread

That time of year has come again where the World Draft starts up. After last year's success, I suggest a similar format.

Please post in here if you would like to participate.

Also could someone with greater PM space than me please notify those past participants to let them know.

I would suggest that people team up again, and barring exceptional interest, I will set a limit of 16 teams.

The Double and myself have already agreed to team up as we look to defend our 2008 title.

How many teams were in it last year? That seemed like a good number to cap it at, because everyone had more or less a strong side. Was it 16 or 18?

It was 16 last year. I do think more teams makes the draft itself more interesting and allows for some very interesting late picks, but from an administrative point of view 16 worked extremely well and made the match ups better.

agreed... the 16 team format made the process much much simpler. I would recomend we decide early on how many players we'll be drafting and stick to that. I think a 7 man bench offers more than enough flexibility.

Last year I spent a lot of time on this thing, and I thought I put together a great team, but I ended up getting beat in the quaterfinals by Teso's team.

I will take a break from it this year. I'll consider being a judge, if there's a need.

Still no reply from torossi. If he wants to partner up again, count us as a team, but if he doesn't I'm going to need a partner. Under the impression that he's really busy so I'll give him some time to reply.
